An example of the lack of insight, self delusion, and narcissism of liberals. In the first clip Maher interviews Peterson and agrees on the importance of free speech even if it offends.
In the second clip the panel and Maher ignore Peterson's question about the importance of respecting those who support Trump and what will happen to society if Trump is removed from office.
Instead the panel joins together in justifying the words and behavior of the radical left.

Thanks for adding, Algernonpj, but these videos wound up making me quite sad. I had to turn off the first one because Maher's constant profanity annoyed me beyond measure. Why an intelligent, sophisticated man has to talk that way is beyond me, and it causes me to tune out whatever else he has to say.
The second video was worrisome. Maher and his one sided panel, including the leftist governor of my state, misrepresent President Trump, and it is obvious they truly believe he wants to be a dictator. This just further illustrates what Dr Peterson was talking about when he noted the deep divisions he sees in American politics. It also means that Leftist like Maher, Inslee, the others, have, in their view, moral justification for opposing the President even if it involves violent acts. Opposing a would be tyrant is perfectly justifiable.
All in all, a disturbing look into the (foul mouthed) Leftist mind.

I made myself watch the entire first video. I wanted to see why Maher was a fan of Peterson. I found it interesting that Maher's example of the suppression of free speech was the negative reaction of administration to the professor who posted a nasty comment about Barbara Bush after her death. I found Maher's use of profanity egregious. I was reminded of a child who was reveling the the ability to shock by using profanity.
The second video is indeed worrisome. It reminded me of the warning by Bezmenov:
" . . . in reality, the main emphasis of the KGB is not in the area of intelligence at all. According to my opinion and [the] opinion of many defectors of my caliber, only about 15% of time, money, and manpower [are] spent on espionage as such. The other 85% is a slow process, which we call either ‘ideological subversion,’ or ‘active measures’—‘[?]’ in the language of the KGB—or ‘psychological warfare.’ What it basically means is, to change the perception of reality, of every American, to such an extent that despite of the abundance of information, no one is able to come to sensible conclusions in the interests of defending themselves, their families, their community and their country . . ."
" . . . They are contaminated; they are programmed to think and react to certain stimuli in a certain pattern. You cannot change their mind[s], even if you expose them to authentic information, even if you prove that white is white and black is black, you still cannot change the basic perception and the logic of behavior. In other words, these people... the process of demoralization is complete and irreversible . . ." Yuri Bezmenov 1984
While there are many rays of hope in the culture wars, I wonder how many are completely unwilling or unable to modify their perception of reality.
