Bill Maher may vote Democrat, but that doesn’t mean he’s happy about it. During an interview with Jimmy Kimmel on Monday night, Maher skewered his own party for failing to secure power on the Supreme Court in the wake of Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s death. The HBO host insisted that RBG should have retired during the Obama administration, and he ripped Democratic leaders for pinning their Supreme Court hopes on the late justice. “That’s why they’re such a loser party,” said Maher. “I vote for them but they don’t know how to do politics.”
Maher’s RBG rant began on much more polite terms. Early on in the interview, Kimmel commended his guest for pausing his September 18 show to deliver the news of RBG’s death to his audience and guest Jane Fonda live on air. “You guys were exactly right about what was going to happen,” said Kimmel. “With no preparation–”
“Well, it’s not like her death was a shock,” interrupted Maher. “She was 100 and had cancer like a million times. I mean, she was a great justice but she should’ve quit.”
The Real Time host added that if Ginsburg had “quit” earlier, “then we wouldn’t have nutso” Trump in the White House. “The Democratic plan for the Supreme Court was Ruth Bader Ginsburg doesn’t die,” he said, making his disdain clear.
“Obama did have her over to the [Oval] office when he was still in office to hint” that she should retire,” continued Maher. “She should have taken the hint. I mean, as great as she was in many ways, that really put us in a bad place because as I keep trying to say on my show, power begets power. When you lose power, you keep losing it.”
Maher went on to blame the Democrats’ “loser” mentality for Amy Coney Barrett’s Supreme Court appointment and the Republican majority it created. “We lose presidential elections, they appoint justices. Now the Supreme Court is 6-to-3, that’s going to go on for a very long time,” he said. “If the election winds up in the court, who do you think they’re going to go with? We saw what happened with Bush v. Gore. That’s what I mean. You lose power and then you lose it again.”

Maher calls out Dems for being a poorly run political machine. It's far worse than that! They're not inspiring as humans anymore! They've invented this new way of mean living, cancel culture. It elevates their politics above all else, it condemns, it castigates and it takes to the courts, seeking to force their way on others. The whole effort sucks!
Let's face it, they just aren't attractive people! And they turn their followers into similarly vile and angry, ogres and witches.
