This is one statistic I was most curious about. I thought the time competition would be won by Fauxcohantas as the set up placed her center stage and the "moderators" kept going back to her at every opportunity. But, no, the most loquacious turned out to be Spartacus.
ZitatSen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) had the most talk time through the first three breaks in Wednesday night’s first Democratic debate.
Booker led the other nine candidates at nine minutes and 41 seconds, followed by former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas). Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), the highest-polling candidate on the stage, was third with eight minutes and 21 seconds, followed by former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julián Castro, with seven minutes and 30 seconds.
Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) clocked in at seven minutes and 12 seconds, followed by Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio) with five minutes and 53 seconds and former Rep. John Delaney (D-Md.) with five minutes and 21 seconds.
Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) had five minutes and 21 seconds of talk time, followed by New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio with four minutes and 35 seconds and Washington Gov. Jay Inslee with three minutes and 46 seconds.
Interestingly Gabbard was next to last in time, but has received the most positive attention. And though I am in little to no agreement with anyone in the debate tonight, I feel NBC was very unfair to her, Ryan, Delaney, and de Blasio when it came to time allocated.
How can the Democrats say they support border security when they also advocate for sanctuary cities?
