ZitatDemocratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and Republican nominee Donald Trump will stand behind lecterns for the first debate on Monday at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, the Commission on Presidential Debates confirms.
The commission told Breitbart News on Thursday that the first debate will require both candidates to stand. The second, to be held Oct. 9 at Washington University in St. Louis, will be in a town hall format, meaning that candidates may stand when it is their turn to speak, and sit when they are done. (In 2012, the second debate, also in town hall format, featured some infamous exchanges where both Gov. Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama were standing and arguing with each other).
This may well prove interesting given the questions about her health. I expect her to be pumped full of whatever meds she requires, vitamin B12, and be very well hydrated. It's also possible she will cancel on the first debate with her health as the reason, but that would be unlikely because it would confirm what is at issue. Some other reason may present itself, like a family crisis or some such, but if the debate does go on, it will be fun to watch.
Dr. Feelgood will make sure she is pumped full of something, which will make her very chirpy and alert, as she was in her 2 minute walk outside Chelsea's apartment. However, it won't do much for her wandering eye, which may be as a result of a stroke or other neurological problem. No doubt the intrepid internet reporters will be studying every video frame, so I doubt we will see a lot of split screens this time around.
Also, I would eat my hat if the producers don't allow a "leaning stool" to be behind her, as she always has. Twitter even had a trending theme, "Hillary's Stools"...I won't go there.
