The joy of finding something valuable that you've previously lost is a great and joyous reunion. It once was yours, it became lost and now the joy! when you rediscover it! But that's not socialism. Socialism gives to those who never earned or owned. It creates a loss by taking from a person who earned something and gives it to another who did nothing to merit it. Socialism redistributes. It is always administered by an elite, privileged class who wield the power. Eventually these elites become the very engorged class that they said they were against and fought to end.
The principles of altruism that are used to sell the socialist dream system are never applied to the party's elites. Once in place, socialism damages a people's work ethic. The government authorizes benefits, much like Santa, slowly leading the human spirit toward sloth. People end up scheming their lifestyle by qualifying for the government's benefits. Working hard to get ahead is replaced over time because the one who qualifies for the most government handouts is the winner. The one who actually works for a living is the loser who ends up carrying the society on his back.
One might ask why is socialism such a great idea? And if it is such a great idea why does it need to be instituted by force? Why can't we reach the goals of socialism without being coerced?
Let's see, are you tracking with me? If not remind me how many homes the "socialist" Bernie Sanders owns? Three? Bernie might have a difficult time switching over to true socialism after the capitalist system has been so very, very good to him and Jane. They're now 1%'ers who assail the wealthy?!?
There really is something satisfying about the capitalist system of reward for hard work.
