It's not even a close call with this blizzard. Fortunately the storm came in by night while everyone was sleeping. Waking up to this deluge means there's no way anyone will be going to work in this storm. The "T" public transport in Boston is shut down. It's a day off for almost everyone.
Looks like a day to add some entries to the TM's Greasy Spoon thread! I wonder what I will be baking today? I'll start by posting some recent creations. Bild entfernt (keine Rechte)

Stop trying to make the Ferguson protests something they weren’t. And, just as importantly, stop trying to make Michael Brown, the man shot to death during a fight with police Office Darren Wilson in August, something he wasn’t.
“If you look at the most credible evidence, the lessons are really basic ... don’t rob a convenience store. Don’t fight with a policeman when he stops you and try to take his gun. And when he yells at you to stop, just stop.”
According to the news it looks like you go / are getting slammed.
In central NJ the blizzard seems to have shifted East. We have snow to deal with but it looks like the total will be more like 6-8" than 18 - 24" predicted.
Five hours later and it's still coming down .....sideways!
...and our cars are disappearing.

is this what you mean by "getting slammed" @algernonpj ?

Quote: algernonpj wrote in post #4Yup ...... How will you get our of the front door when it's over ? Do you shovel every few hours ?
It's a light and fluffy snow since it's only 16 degrees out. My wife likes to shovel and has gone out shoveling twice to make sure the furnace vent isn't getting blocked. Other than that though it's sit and do some baking!

That probably a good thing. Looks like you are driving some sort of Prius like econoboxes. At least it will save you embarrassment until the thaw.
BTW, you should have turned your wipers off when you parked. You are in for a surprise when you turn the car on with the wipers frozen to the windshield halfway through a cycle. Does your warranty cover wiper motors?

How about this? I opened the garage door to fire up my snow blower only to realize I had to close the door and come at this wall of snow from the other side first!

Wow. I really dislike the kind of people who tell you how warm and sunny it is where they are when your weather sucks.....so, I'll end my comment right here.

LOL Dude. Did you just move up there from Florida? You're supposed to run that blower every hour or so to stay on top of that. I don't think a 24" Ariens is gonna cut it now.
Hope you have plenty of bread making supplies. You may be in that house for a while.
