Read this short piece from a "newspaper" called the New York Observer and then ask yourself: where is Rosa's Party identification?
"Manhattan Assemblywoman Gabriela Rosa confessed in court today to marrying a man under false pretenses to obtain United States citizenship and to not reporting property and income when she filed for bankruptcy in 2011.
Ms. Rosa plead guilty in court to taking a husband in 1996 in order to become an American, and to lying about her reasons for marrying to immigration officials over a period lasting until 2005. She also admitted to failing to report her second spouse’s income and her ownership of a co-op apartment when she filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2011.
"It's inexcusable, and Americans are right to be angry about it, and I am angry about it. I will not tolerate this kind of behavior in any agency, but especially in the IRS, given the power that it has and the reach that it has into all of our lives. ... I'll do everything in my power to make sure nothing like this happens again by holding the responsible parties accountable. ..." -- President Barack Obama condemning "misconduct" at the Internal Revenue Service, May 15, 2013.
"Even the local media here on Long Island labeled her as a Dim. And how the hell does she keep her citizenship?"
Pzldr what caught my eye in this particular story was the failure to mention Rosa's political affiliation. Can you give us some background on this woman and what kind of publication the Observer is?

Don't know about the OBSERVER. But Rosa was mentioned on Cablevision's Channel 12, Long Island News, and in NEWSDAY, the major paper out here. The article[s] I saw didn't go into a lot of detail, but the plea includes 12 to a max of 15 months in jail [if she gets time]. Otherwise she can appeal it. That got my attention, as did the fact she's not going to lose the citizenship she fraudulently acquired. She's lower house, in NYS, and is the third or fourth Dim to go down within the last year or so. And there's a scandal brewing over sexual harassment in the Legislature. Cuomo's got a commission or Dept. going to look into it.
