LOL. BOR is easily the stupidest man on TV. This comment demonstrates it perfectly....
ZitatFox News host Bill O'Reilly dissed conservative talk radio host and icon Rush Limbaugh at an event in New York City Wednesday evening.
According to the Daily Beast, O'Reilly told the audience, “I’m not Rush Limbaugh or Al Franken, where everything has to fit into my worldview… I’m a fact-based guy. A lot of people don’t understand that.”
O'Reilly made his remarks about being a "fact-based guy" days after he tried to convince his viewers that House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) did not lose his primary race last week to Dave Brat because of the amnesty issue. O'Reilly conveniently ignored the fact that Dave Brat said amnesty was the "central" issue in the race.
"The central policy issue in this race has become Cantor’s absolute determination to pass an amnesty bill. Cantor is the No. 1 cheerleader in Congress for amnesty," Brat wrote. "This is not the Republican way to fix our economy and labor markets."
And as Breitbart News reported, a post-election poll of the district's voters found that "52% of primary voters said that Cantor's position on immigration was either the 'main reason' they voted for his opponent David Brat or had a 'significant part' in influencing their vote." In addition, "26% of voters changed from Cantor to Brat in the final two weeks," which was when "Brat, with the help of conservative talk radio hosts Laura Ingraham and Mark Levin, hammered Cantor for supporting amnesty."
O'Reilly may have had his reasons for wanting to spin last week's shocker in his "no spin zone" because, as Breitbart News reported, "O'Reilly, like Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), supported the Senate's amnesty bill, which the Congressional Budget Office determined would lower the wages of the American workers O'Reilly has vowed to look out for."
Zitat One of the bigger mistakes in his 325-page book is a reference to Lincoln doing business in the Oval Office when in fact no such room existed in the White House until almost a half century after he was shot.
Because of errors like that, the National Park Service’s Lincoln Home historic site in Springfield isn’t stocking the book in its museum gift shop nor is a well-known Chicago retailer of Lincoln memorabilia, the Abraham Lincoln Book Shop, at 357 W. Chicago.
“I didn’t think my people should be reading it and getting ill advised,” said owner Daniel Weinberg, who described the book as “almost more novelized than it is true history.”
Zitatafter he tried to convince his viewers that House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) did not lose his primary race last week to Dave Brat because of the amnesty issue.
One thing I noticed on the night of the Cantor primary loss was the "conclusion" (aka spin) that it "absolutely WASN'T because of amnesty." The spin seemed to be coming from most of the talking heads employed by FOX (Brit Hume, Brett Baier, etc.) In fact, Hume got in somewhat of a tussle with Laura Ingraham about exactly what amnesty was.
One thing we should all keep in mind as we watch FOX news. The owner, Murdoch, is a big open borders, "world citizen" type guy. Yet, as a businessman, he knows most of his viewers want nothing to do with amnesty. So he will allow opposing views, at times, on his airwaves.
But at the end of the day, his employees - the BOR's and the Humes - know which side their bread is buttered.

Lincoln sites spurn Bill O’Reilly’s book because of errors

I'm not as impressed that BOR is an idiot. If the import of that "bigger mistake" sentence were false, if its reference to Lincoln doing business in the White House were false, as opposed to having referenced the wrong location in the White House, then I'd be more impressed that he had made a BIG MISTAKE.
Bear in mind the world is so partisan now that an excuse like this is sufficient to NOT stock the book. Local writer DKG has had mistakes in her books, including the plagiarism of an entire section, but the same blokes promote the hell out of her stuff and continue to award her accolades.

This is a very good reminder. Thanks.
I would also add that Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal is part owner of fox news

If you are going to be a pompous ass everyday and claim you are all about the facts, you had better make sure your ghost written book is all about the facts. As for Goodwin, she lost her MSM darling status over her stealing. I don't see her everywhere spouting her nonsense like we did back in the day. And then there is Barnacle who is an PMSLSD favorite, which is basically like being on cable access at 3 AM.
