By Dave Blount Moonbats Launch Petition to Ban Metallica
Jun 08 2014
There is nothing that moonbats won’t try to take away from us. They even want to ban Metallica:
An online petition has been launched by animal rights activists to ban Metallica from performing at Glastonbury later this month.
Since it was announced last month that the American heavy metal band would headline alongside Kasabian and Arcade Fire, the booking has been met with controversy, with artists and commentators claiming that their sound was not in keeping with the festival. The storm surrounding Metallica’s booking has now increased, with festival goers taking issue with frontman James Hetfield’s support of bear hunting.
The singer, who is also a member of America’s National Rifle Association, will narrate an eight-part History Channel TV series called The Hunt, which documents the killing of Kodiak brown bears in Alaska.
Zitat"Glastonbury is like the Holy Grail in England and we're respectful to that," Ulrich told Metal Hammer, "but when somebody sits there and talks about petitions or what some other guy says, there's a point that it just becomes ridiculous. We're fairly thick-skinned and turn a blind eye to it or whatever, but if Mick Jagger, or Alex Turner, or the very nice guys in Kasabian who I love, it's cool. But at some point, when there's some guy in some other band...it's like 'Huh? What? Who are you?'"
