ZitatDES MOINES, Iowa — Deana Bass, the national press secretary for 2016 GOP presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson, told Breitbart News on Monday evening that the Carson campaign believes his GOP opponents played dirty tricks on him by getting the media to falsely suggest Carson was suspending his campaign after Iowa’s caucuses.
“We are moving forward getting ready for the NH debate and primary,” Bass said in an email. “You know we have solid state directors in both. And our opportunity to do well in SC is strong. Not at all pleased with the caucus tricks played by our opponents. Telling voters that Dr. Ben Carson was suspending his campaign is low and doesn’t serve the party well at all.”
Carson’s team did, according to Fortune Magazine, point the finger at Iowa caucuses winner Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX). Cruz’s team however denied the allegations that they were behind it.
Over at Gateway Pundit they show the twitter evidence that Cruz is once again lying and it was him.
And then there was this little letter sent out:
So yeah it was Cruz, and yeah, he's lying about it.
1. He's lied about his eligibility. 2. He lied about his Canadian Citizenship claiming 'he didn't know' in 2014. 3. He lied about Goldman Sach's - it was a 'oversight'. Huh huh. 4. He lied about Trump in the Eminent Domain ad - his campaign went on to admit to it. 5. He committed mail fraud with Voter intimidation letters in Iowa and then refused to apologize.
And the list goes on and now this. People..........Good honest Christian men DO NOT behave this way. Followers of Christ do not lie and commit fraud. It is driving me nuts that I seem to be the only one bothered by this man claiming to speak for God and giving glory to God etc. etc. while covering up a multitude of lies and deceit. This is egregiously offensive~!~!~!~!~!
I didn't care for Cruz' overt appeal to the "body of Christ" to cast a vote for him For me it raised a concern that he might be pandering. Hillary concluded her comments last night with "God Bless You!" I didn't want to hear that from her either. I voted for Jimmy Carter as a young Christian back in 1977 ...only to live to regret basing my vote on faith alone. Life is more complex than that and one's gifts and talents come into play, or lack thereof. That's why we look at our candidates over time to see if their claims match their character.
“If we awaken and energize the body of Christ — if Christians and people of faith come out and vote our values — we will win and we will turn the country around,” Ted Cruz

EXACTLY!
Its one thing for candidates to lie for votes, and pander, and commit all kinds of slimy shenanigans. We know they all do it.
BUT,
when they call on the body of Christ, and start naming the Name of Christ while doing all this deceit IN HIS NAME......................THAT's what I object to!
"when they call on the body of Christ, and start naming the Name of Christ while doing all this deceit IN HIS NAME......................THAT's what I object to!"
Agreed. I consider myself a rather devout if unorthodox Christian and am not fond of this approach. I also wonder if this kind of preachiness will come back to bite Ted on the bottom in some of the more secular states.

We have indeed drifted away from our Judeo-Christian roots and our commonly shared civil faith that in principle united us as a Nation. It won't help Ted to pretend we haven't lost something already and to start trying to be America's Christian minister. That boat set sail long ago Ted!!! He's supposed to be running as the President of EVERYONE, regardless of their belief or lack thereof!
The State Dept has engineered and hastened this change by who they allow to come here, to cross into our Country.
Part of Trump's appeal to "Make America Great Again" is a re-discovery of our work ethic and or common civil faith. It is not shared by Muslims for the most part regardless of whatg the rhetoric spews out of the mouths of our globalist politicians. Let them pollute Europe and let us learn from Europe's naive mistakes. Trump rules on immigration!

I say this as a Christian and hope I don't offend anyone, but I had to shut off the Sermon on The Mount last night. It just kept going on and on...I was waiting for him to start speaking in tongues.
Having said that, I'd vote for him over Hillary or Bernie if he were the nominee. I've held my nose before and I guess I'd have to do it again if that were the choice put before me.
However, if Cruz doesn't start rendering unto Caesar I don't think that can happen.

IMO, it just won't play in Peoria.
No more nose holding for me.
Cruz is terrible on immigration, jobs, and trade, not to mention constitutional eligibility as defined by the original intent of our founding fathers. It doesn't matter if we are destroyed by a -R or a -D, we'll be just as destroyed.
If we don't secure our border, and run immigration and trade to the benefit of our citizenry all Cruz's holier than thou speechifying won't save us.
I agree with with Schlafly: Trump is the only chance we have. I also agree with Sessions: It's now or never on immigration and trade.
A day late and a dollar short as they say, the damage has been done. Will be watching to see what he pulls next.
But I am getting tired of his, "I didn't know", "it was an oversight", "it was a mistake" schtick. Once maybe, but this blame everything but Ted smacks too much of Obama, the other citizenship challenged President. Do we really want another 4 to 8 years of me first, and it's not my fault snake oil?
