A globalist elite vs. the people Exclusive: Curtis Ellis explains how different world-firsters are from America-firsters 01.23.2016
UNITED NATIONS – The real division in America is not between left and right, or between Democrats and Republicans. The real division is between the elite and everyone else.
Elites control both parties, major media, academia, finance and multinational mega-corporations that feed at the trough of big government.
The elites are globalists with no loyalty to the United States of America. In fact they have no loyalty to any nation and are opposed to the very idea of nationhood. Rather than “one nation, under God, indivisible,” they pledge allegiance to the global economy and the free movement of people, goods and money in a world without borders.
As voters prepare to cast ballots in Iowa and New Hampshire, the leading candidates in both parties are soaring above a field of pygmies by invoking a word that strikes terror into the heart of pointy-headed academics everywhere, a word you can conjure with: America.
Donald Trump promises to Make America Great Again. Bernie Sanders says we are all looking for America.
This has the elites in a cold panic. The effete corps of impudent snobs that characterize themselves as intellectuals are panicked because they know for certain that America is passé. Why don’t these rubes who are backing Trump get it?
Trump’s great apostasy is calling for a national economic policy that puts Americans first. That includes Americans who push a broom on the shop floor, not simply those who push stock options and credit default swaps on the trading floor.
Rather than putting Americans first, the elites put the bottom line of global mega-corporations first … and second and third. They gladly sacrifice our national interest and even our national sovereignty on the altar of globalization.
Donald Trump says we must have a nation. And for him, our nation means our culture and our way of life.
But the elites don’t believe in distinct national cultures, just as they don’t believe in nations. They prescribe multiculturalism for the U.S. and the West. (Funny how you never hear them pushing for multiculturalism in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Korea or China.)
In short, the elites don’t believe America is really a country. In their bones they know nationalism is bad. Paul Ryan says, “When you think about America, it’s not just a country. America is an idea. It’s an idea that people from all over the world aspire to achieve.” Ideas don’t have borders.
Trump says without borders, you don’t have a country.
The elites don’t believe in borders. Their grand experiment in Europe, the European Union, is founded on the free flow of people, goods and capital across borders. We see how that is working out. Now the European Union is being submerged in a flood of refugees from the Middle East and North Africa. Our own elites hope to recreate this uplifting cultural experiment on our own shores.
The elites live in the first-class cabin at 38,000 feet, invest their capital in corporate entities headquartered in the Cayman Islands and feel more of an affinity with others like themselves from anywhere on earth rather than with their own country of birth.
The citizens of these United States are rising up and saying we want a government that puts our interests and our jobs first. A government that conserves the American nation, the American culture and the American way of life we grew up with and our ancestors died for.
The elites sneer, declaring that is not conservatism, but nativism, statism, xenophobia, populism and worse.
Pat Buchanan asked conservatives, ‘What is it we wish to conserve?’ What indeed, if not our country and the well-being of the American people.”
Quote: ThirstyMan wrote in post #2Isn't it amazing how certain prophetic pundits must come around now and explain this angry movement of ordinary American people
to both the elite and the dense, and both groups btw, are deeply offended by what's going on!
Both offended and panic struck I suspect.
IMHO the global elite and their minions don't want to loose the gravy train they have set up at the expense of the working, middle class.
Some others haven't been exposed to information other than that put out as a result of Gramsci's 'long march through society's institutions.
Others are unwilling, unable, or haven't had enough time to accept that they've been had and the old rules/memes/ bromides do not apply.
Again I've got to give Trump credit for one important outcome of this election cycle.
Whether he wins or not, he ripped the masks off of all who have 'claimed' conservative bonafides only to be exposed as the globalist elitists they actually are!

But Gramma don't get discouraged. Trump has ONLY gone up since he entered the race. It may be a saw tooth pattern but he has gone up steadily.
Right now he's at his highest ever! So I think he'll win the nomination.

Even if, in the end, all Trump accomplishes is to give a mighty push of the pendulum back towards America he would have accomplished a lot more than the rest of the simpering wimps. I am hoping for more, of course.

We must not lose sight of the BIG picture here.
Agreed.
What I fear is that if Trump does not make it, all those recent converts to nationalism vs globalism will revert to form. I saw this in the presidential election of 2008. Tom Tancredo ran just to push the eGOP to securing the border and running immigration for the benefit of the citizenry and returning jobs to the US, He did quite well for a while but his funding was from small individual contributions. He lacked Trump's personal fortune. As soon as Tancredo ended his campaign for financial reasons, every one reverted back to their long standing support of open border, rampant immigration, etc.
