Trump vs. the Globalists: Setting the World Ablaze By Mark Angelides Jun 10, 2018
The G7 is about cooperation. It has never and should never be about capitulation, yet this is what the globalist world leaders of France, Germany, Canada, and other seemed to expect from President Trump. Perhaps they assumed their own “star power” would be enough to convince the leader of the free world to roll over and have his belly tickled. They were wrong.
When President Donald J. Trump was elected, the world knew that they had a different kind of leader on their hands. It was clear that “business as usual” was out the window in America, and that the following years would be a rollercoaster ride. Yet few suspected such defiance in the face of high offices of state and such a determination to blaze his own trail.
As the 44th G7 meeting drew to a close, the nations of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom were left slack-jawed as Trump essentially called them out for their globalism and two-faced talk. After what Trump described as “Great meetings and relationships with the six Country Leaders,” he thought he had made his position clear that he would not allow other nations to dictate U.S. business.
The Narrative
The Joint Communique was supposed to set a global agenda for the next year and lay out key areas of interest and overlap for cooperation. When Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau took to the stage after the meeting and began accusing Trump of bullying the group, his tone and words were an attack far above his weight. He said:
Zitat “Canadians are polite and reasonable but we will also not be pushed around.”
Trudeau stated that he had been blunt with Trump about his “illegal and unacceptable tariffs, er, illegitimate and unacceptable tariffs,” which was apparently news to The Donald. In what seems like a genuine expression of surprise, upon hearing Trudeau’s words, Trump tweeted:
Zitat “Based on Justin’s false statements at his news conference, and the fact that Canada is charging massive Tariffs to our U.S. farmers, workers and companies, I have instructed our U.S. Reps not to endorse the Communique as we look at Tariffs on automobiles flooding the U.S. Market!”
And followed up with:
Zitat “PM Justin Trudeau of Canada acted so meek and mild during our @G7 meetings only to give a news conference after I left saying that, “US Tariffs were kind of insulting” and he “will not be pushed around.” Very dishonest & weak. Our Tariffs are in response to his of 270% on dairy!”
The end result of this is that President Trump will not be signing the Joint Communique. His message is clear: he doesn’t want to do business with those that are two-faced.
Naturally, the globalists have joined forces and are putting out their own narrative on this event.
The Elysee Palace, Emmanuel Macron’s official residence, released a statement condemning Trump’s withdrawal:
Zitat “International cooperation can’t depend on anger and small words. Let’s be serious and worthy of our people. We spent two days obtaining a draft and commitments. We stick to it. And anyone who leaves and turns their back on them shows their inconsistency.”
The German Foreign Minister, Heiko Maas, furthered the idea of Trump being uncooperative and untrustworthy. He said:
Zitat “It’s actually not a real surprise, we have seen this with the climate agreement or the Iran deal. In a matter of seconds, you can destroy trust with 280 Twitter characters. To build that up again will take much longer.”
A Unified Command?
It is of little surprise that the nations tied into the European Union are pushing for globalist-driven free trade. In the official G7 photos, the leaders of the seven nations are pictured bookended by Jean-Claude Juncker (president of the European Commission) and Donald Tusk (president of the European Council); two men who have no rights to be in a meeting between national leaders.
Zitat Dear Mr President, @realDonaldTrump
I don't think it's right that unelected EU reps such as Junker and Tusk should get to meet you at the G7. They represent no one.
p.s you're doing an amazing job. 👍🏻 pic.twitter.com/GAYrpy7TM2

British Prime Minister Theresa May was a little more conciliatory, however, stating that President Trump had every right to leave the meeting and that his summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was of international importance. As Britain prepares to leave the protectionist racket known as the European Union (E.U.), she appears to have made the decision to not get caught in the middle of a globalist fairy story on the character and competence of the U.S. president.
Make no mistake, the G7, once a powerful tool of world cooperation after the destruction and horror of the 1940s, has become little more than a rubber-stamping operation for a globalist agenda that no one has voted for. To the larger world, it may appear that President Trump was just standing up for American trade, but the reality is that he was standing up for much more: the right of a free people to determine their own political destiny apart from entrenched bureaucrats and an agenda that serves none but the dwellers of the internationalist swamp.
