Stephen Colbert’s first night on the Late Show proved he’s still every bit the left wing hack he was on Comedy Central. He spent almost six solid minutes bashing Donald Trump but not a single joke about Hillary Clinton’s email scandal or crazy Socialist Bernie Sanders.
In the course of his anti-Trump routine, he even put Donald Trump’s face on screen with an image of the KKK.
In he first show he plays the Trump-KKK comparison. Sad.
Like all good little liberals, Colbert fails to acknowledge that the KKK was created by Democrats.
Back in the day, Letterman was supposed to kick Leno's butt. It never quite worked out that way.
The ruling class never quite figured it out. Just like it is said "people vote with their feet" (meaning when statism is imposed, people leave); TV viewers also vote with their remotes. While Leno was a relatively "equal opportunity" satirist, Letterman - particularly in his later years - was just a bitter democrat party hack. And worse than that, he wasn't even funny.
People remembered how Letterman had Walter Communist - er, I mean Cronkite - warning people in Letterman's audience not to be "rude" to Hilliary Xlinton when she was on his show.
Leno consistently beat Letterman in the ratings, and the ruling class never quite figured it out.
Prediction: Colbert's ratings won't even reach Letterman levels. Any bets that the ruling class may eventually figure out why?

Agreed Rufus. They think snark is the same as humor. It's not.

I'll never watch the Colbert show, but I did watch the clip that was posted.
One of the thoughts that came to mind while I was watching was this: the audience sounded like an ignorant, out of control mob. Rubes, you might say.
It's been said that the democrats go into any presidential election with 200 electoral votes already guaranteed. After hearing the Colbert mob, it's not a stretch at all to say that statement is probably correct.
BTW, someone ought to inform the ignoramus Colbert that it was democrats who created the KKK, not republicans, conservatives, or Donald Trump.

So much classier than I was going to write:
Colbert is a nasty little p*tz who hopefully will soon join the ranks of the uneployed..
And no the ruling class are die hard fanatics who live in their own parallel universe and will never figure it out. Just like they can't figure out why the average middle class American responds so positively to Trumps core principles of immigration reform:
1. A nation without borders is not a nation. 2. A nation without laws is not a nation. Laws passed in accordance with our Constitutional system of government must be enforced. 3. A nation that does not serve its own citizens is not a nation. Any immigration plan must improve jobs, wages and security for all Americans.
Viewership has fallen like a stone. Many, including myself, tuned in out of curiosity. I found show to be wanting and not very funny. The interview with Clooney was a bore. He may improve but I've seen enough. Plus I wonder, along with Laura Ingraham, where were the jokes about Hillary?
Zitat"After a strong debut on Tuesday night, The Hollywood Reporter shares that LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT lost 35% of the overnight metered market ratings on Night 2 of the show, putting in a virtual tie with NBC's TONIGHT.
The TONIGHT SHOW was boosted by appearances from host Fallon's bestie Justin Timberlake, as well as by a special appearance from Ellen DeGeneres who challenged the host to an epic lip sync battle. The show jumped in the all-important demo of adults 18-49 - easily besting Colbert in Local People Meters.
In raw numbers, Colbert's overnight rating dropped from a 4.9 to a 3.2 in households. Fallon's jumped from a 2.4 to a 3.1 rating. In Local People Meters' demo measurement, Colbert lost half of his 18-49 showing. The episode was off by nearly half, from a 1.5 to a 0.8 rating.
