Zitat A video posted to social media Thursday, the New South Wales Rural Fire Service in Australia announced brush fires in state have been contained.
The fire service called the very "traumatic, exhausting and anxious bush fire season," and clarified that not all fires are out and that there was still some fire activity in the far south of the state.
Deputy Commissioner Rob Rogers said in the video that they are hoping to work on extinguishing those remaining fires that are contained and help the community rebuild.
Recent rain in the area has helped to aid the containment of the fires. The fire service tweeted on Monday that the rain falls assisted firefighters in putting out more than 30 fires over the weekend.
