ZitatSix weeks after he announced his candidacy for president, the former New York City mayor and multibillionaire business and media mogul has assembled a campaign juggernaut that now numbers 800 staffers.
Bloomberg’s also spent an eye-watering $166 million to run TV commercials on behalf of his 2020 White House bid – according to the ad tracking firm Advertising Analytics. That includes $36 million just to air ads the first week of the new year.
And he’s seen his national poll numbers edge up since jumping in. The candidate stands at 5.6 percent support in the latest RealClearPolitics average of the most recent public opinion surveys – up from 4 percent a month ago. This puts him in fifth position, just behind the top tier of Democratic nomination candidates.
I have to admit Bloomberg has the best political ads I have ever seen. He has hired a really first class ad agency. OTOH, it is amusing as well as a bit disturbing to think people will base their vote for POTUS based on a number of slick ads. Bloomberg's campaign, as well as Steyer's, also flies in the face of prior Democrat claims of wanting to get big money out of our politics. Purity has a price apparently.
Btw, Judge Judy has endorsed Bloomberg. That oughta change a lot of votes.
ZitatLOS ANGELES — Mike Bloomberg’s plan for California - export it.
The Democratic presidential candidate and former New York City mayor likes a lot of what he sees in the Golden State and thinks its efforts on climate change, gun control and criminal justice reform sets a benchmark for other states to emulate.
“I think that California can serve as a great example for the rest of this country,” Bloomberg told supporters at the opening of his Angeles headquarters.
Yes, there are problems, including homelessness, struggling public schools and scarce, costly housing. But California “is something the rest of the country looks up to,” Bloomberg said. “California has been a leader in an awful lot of things.”

Democrat principles are "living," just like their view of the Constitution. Their ends are clearly served by any means. And whatever it takes is truly now their only principle.
They morph as needed to shame the R's with their lofty big money principles and then gladly use and misuse big money as needed, to promote themselves. TM
