Today Harry Reid and Senate Democrats just passed the “nuclear option” overturning a senate rule established in 1806.
The Washington Post reported:
The Democratically controlled Senate on Thursday struck down the long-standing filibuster rules for most presidential nominations, voting mostly along party lines to alter nearly 225 years of precedent.
The rule change would allow federal judge nominees and executive-office appointments to be confirmed by a simple majority of senators, rather than the 60-vote super majority that has been required for more than two centuries. The change would not apply to Supreme Court nominations. It would dramatically alter the landscape for both Democratic and Republican presidents, especially if their own political party holds a majority of, but fewer than 60, Senate seats.
You know....they wouldn't have done this if there was any chance at all they (Dems) would ever lose the house or the senate to the opposing party and put them in position of being the 'minority' power.
This is proof in my mind that they don't ever intend to lose power - EVER.
And why should they? They've rigged the elections that no minority party will ever regain control - no matter what.
More proof that 2008 and 2012 were fraudulent elections in every way you can think of and anyone who thinks the GOP or any other minority party will ever win another election is dreaming. We've lost the ballot box in perpetuity.
AND...they are taking steps with absolutely no opposition to insure that the bullet box is lost in perpetuity. Just a heads up folks where we're at.

I think it is quite the opposite. The Rats know that they are going to lose the Senate big and will not gain in the House. That is why Reid is pulling this now. They will be able to pack the courts and other appointments with straight up radicals and Communists. They thought they would be able to do this before the Zerocare implosion through normal means after they retook the House. That idea is gone forever now.
Yes, and Boehner is threatening to put "immigration reform" on the front burner again. If they get that passed, the (&(^%#!*bags will never have to worry about their power and privilege being challenged by the people or the Constitution.

Probably. I know at the least that something is in it for the power mad cretins or they wouldn't have done it!
