Creepy porn lawyer Michael Avenatti is such a scumbag he can’t even find an attorney to represent HIM

When news broke on Monday that lawyer to the porn stars Michael Avenatti was arrested for an alleged multi-million extortion attempt against Nike, it made perfect sense. They guy was developing quite a reputation for being a scumbag.

Avenatti, who rose to fame in recent months after taking on porn actress Stormy Daniels as a client in a lawsuit against POTUS Donald Trump involving payoffs regarding a one-off tryst they allegedly engaged in more than a decade ago, was charged with extortion, conspiracy to commit extortion, conspiracy to transmit interstate communications with intent to extort, and transmission of interstate communications with intent to extort.

In addition, federal prosecutors in Los Angeles, where Avenatti is based, have filed separate charges wire fraud and bank fraud.

The Western Journal added:

The complaint filed by New York prosecutors said Avenatti sought millions from Nike and $1.5 million for an unnamed co-conspirator.

The complaint said that Avenatti told Nike attorneys that if it did not pay, “I’ll take ten billion dollars off your client’s market cap … I’m not f—ing around.”

The complaint alleged that Avenatti planned to hold a media event timed to Nike’s quarterly earnings announcement and the NCAA basketball tournament to publicly announce that he had discovered employee misconduct at Nike.

Avenatti tweeted about the event shortly before news broke of the charges filed against him.

Before he allegedly began shaking down multi-billion corporations, Avenatti was involved in a lawsuit with a former colleague. In October, a California judge ordered him to pay a $4.85 million settlement to an attorney at his former law firm, Jason Frank, after personally guaranteeing him the settlement.

That ruling came after a separate one in May, in which “a U.S. bankruptcy court judge … ordered Avenatti’s former firm to pay $10 million to Frank in May,” CNBC reported. “The $4.85 million is in addition to that judgment.

“In July, the Justice Department accused Avenatti of making misrepresentations in the bankruptcy case and said his former law firm owed more than $440,000 in unpaid federal taxes,” the financial news network added.

At the same time these judgments were playing out, Avenatti was accused by his client, Daniels, of suing the president without her permission, and was evicted from his offices for non-payment of rent.

In other words, this guy stunk to high heaven — so it shouldn’t surprise us now that he is such a creep that he can’t even find a lawyer to represent him in the Nike case.

The New York Post reports that Avenatti is having to settle for a pair of overworked, underpaid members of the B team:

Michael Avenatti apparently couldn’t find a lawyer to represent him on extortion charges following his stunning arrest — and wound up with a pair of court-appointed federal defenders at his side on Monday night.

Avenatti was hauled into the same downtown Manhattan courthouse where he held a news conference last year with then-client and porn star Stormy Daniels, who claims to have had a 2006 affair with Donald Trump.

Magistrate Judge Katherine Parker signed off on a deal to release Avenatti on $300,000 bond, with conditions including no contact with the alleged co-conspirator in his case, whom the Wall Street Journal has identified as celebrity lawyer Mark Geragos.

None of this is surprising to Daniels.

“Knowing that I know now about Michael Avenatti, I am saddened but not shocked by news reports that he has been criminally charged today,” she said in a statement. “I made the decision more than a month ago to terminate Michael’s services after discovering that he had dealt with me extremely dishonestly and there will be more announced to come.”

One final note that makes the crash-and-burn of Avenatti even more spectacular: Remember when Democrats and their Left-wing media propagandists were buzzing about him as a potential 2020 presidential contender?
