Former Democratic National Chairman Howard Dean speculated about what has motivated people to flock to movie theaters in droves to see “American Sniper,” the movie about the life of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle.
“There’s a lot of anger in this country, and the people who go see this movie are people who are very angry,” Dean said on “Real Time with Bill Maher” on Friday.
“This guy basically says, ‘I’m going to fight on your side,’” Dean said of Kyle, who was the most prolific sniper in U.S. military history. The legendary sniper was murdered at a Texas gun range in 2013.
“I bet you if you looked at the cross-section of the tea party and people who see this movie there’s a lot of intersection,” the former governor of Vermont continued.
The Clint Eastwood-directed film, which is nominated for an Oscar for Best Picture, has earned nearly $200 million at the box office since its release last week, making it one of the highest-grossing films ever released during the month of January.

Stop trying to make the Ferguson protests something they weren’t. And, just as importantly, stop trying to make Michael Brown, the man shot to death during a fight with police Office Darren Wilson in August, something he wasn’t.
“If you look at the most credible evidence, the lessons are really basic ... don’t rob a convenience store. Don’t fight with a policeman when he stops you and try to take his gun. And when he yells at you to stop, just stop.”
My guess is that this will further marginalize a party that has already been marginalized.
How they got so much power is distressing. I pray I am right.
Howard Dean and the Hate America crowd need to be repudiated big time.

Clint Eastwood’s “American Sniper” turned out another massive audience at North American theaters over the weekend, providing cover for another bomb elsewhere at the multiplex.
With a power base in the Southeast, Midwest and South — and an attention-generating debate over its political message or lack thereof — “American Sniper” (Warner Bros.) took in an estimated $64.4 million, for a two-week total of about $200.1 million, according to Rentrak, which compiles box office data. Contributing to the strength of “American Sniper” were premium-priced showings on extra-large screens operated by theater chains like Cinemark, which is based in Plano, Tex.

Imagine. This guy Dean was once considered the front runner for the Democrat nomination for President. Chilling. What a disgusting collection of douche bags the Dems are.
And how fitting he should make such loathsome comments about one of America's outstanding warriors on the Bill Maher show.
"On Friday night’s Real Time with Bill Maher, the caustic host and his panel discussed last week’s big box office news—the runaway success of Clint Eastwood’s American Sniper, which as of January 23 has made approximately $154 million. While the film’s financial success is certainly making headlines, Maher was interested in the polarity of the social media discussion around the film and its real-life hero, the late Chris Kyle.
Maher—a man who is not known for his sense of nuance—was frustrated by the absence of subtlety in the conversation around Sniper, particularly when compared with The Hurt Locker, which he said “covers a lot of the same territory” but was met with far less success.
“Hurt Locker only made $17 million…because it was a little ambiguous. And thoughtful,” said Maher. “And [American Sniper] is just, ‘American hero, he’s a psychopath patriot, and we love him.'”
I did a Wiki bio check on both Maher and Dean and neither of these two brave boys ever served in the military. Dean was even quoted as saying, "I was really in no hurry to join the military." And yet these 2 stay-at-home warriors feel they have the right to criticize a true American hero.
My ass.
Allahu Akbar" is Arabic for "Nothing to see here"~~Mark Steyn explaining the reaction of Obama, Hollande, et. al., to Muslim terror attacks.
I saw American Sniper and would not consider myself to be an angry person. You certainly have a right to make stupid blanket statements, suggesting that all people who see this film are angry, but how is that helpful sir? Do you also suggest that everyone at Warner Brothers is angry because they released the film? That Clint Eastwood, Jason Hall, Bradley Cooper, Sienna Miller and the rest of the cast and crew are angry because they made the film? Chris Kyle’s story deserved to be told. It tells a story of the stress that multiple deployments have on one military family, a family representative of thousands of military families. It helps to communicate the toll that the war on terror has taken on our defenders. Defenders and families who need our support. I will admit that perhaps somewhere among the masses of people who are going to see the film there may be a few that might have some anger or have been angry at some point in their lives, but, with all due respect, what the hell are you talking about?"

Can you tell me when people did listen to these two dopes? They have been on the margins for as long as I can remember.
Well Dean was popular for a month, back before he made his infamous war whoop scream attempt to let out a battle cry...
and then ...he wasn't that popular anymore. Dean must be a pretty frustrated, angry guy.
Imagine being Dean and wondering what his life would've been like if he hadn't let out that pansy-a$$ed scream that scared the free world away?
