Am I the only FPP who watched it all the way through Joni Ernst?
It was, imho, a doozy. If you listen to Obama everyone is going to get everything they ever wanted and for free. Except the rich who are gonna pay for it all. His policies have been an unqualified success...but we still have a long way to go. Al Queda? ISIS? He's apparently not sure they even exist and, even if they do, we've got 'em licked. He wants to practice a new bipartisanship, but if Congress passes anything he disapproves he will be quick to veto it. In short the speech was little more than a series of contradictions, a laundry list of things Liberals want, or what Liberals believe regardless of reality.
In essence it was an over an hour long campaign speech. Which is kinda funny because that raises one of the 2 things I want to praise Obama for (Yes, I can do that). At one point, Obama said he was not going to be running again and someone(s) on the Republican side clapped. Obama immediately shot back that he knew as he had already run twice and won both times. Some people were annoyed by that, but I found it a quick and amusing retort (as did he, btw). Secondly I admire Obama's self-confidence. Yes, it borders on arrogance, but he's gonna do what he's gonna do, and his critics and the results of the last election be damned. How I wish the Republicans would show such certainty, such assurance. I may not like Obama nor his policies but at least the guy pursues them unapologetically.
Allahu Akbar" is Arabic for "Nothing to see here"~~Mark Steyn explaining the reaction of Obama, Hollande, et. al., to Muslim terror attacks.

Looks like you were. I don't know how you did it.
I posted my thoughts prior to the speech and nothing has changed.
After the speech, a young exuberant Obama lover proclaimed on her FB:
"Go obama!!! Free community college, affordable daycare, everyone paying thier fair share of taxes, taking care of vetrans, caring about the rest of the world too, sounds good to me!!"
[spelling errors are hers, btw]
That's Obama's voter right there, the free stuff voter. Never mind working and bettering yourself. Everything should drop out of the sky and into your lap. That's the new way. Don't prepare for success, demand it.

Stop trying to make the Ferguson protests something they weren’t. And, just as importantly, stop trying to make Michael Brown, the man shot to death during a fight with police Office Darren Wilson in August, something he wasn’t.
“If you look at the most credible evidence, the lessons are really basic ... don’t rob a convenience store. Don’t fight with a policeman when he stops you and try to take his gun. And when he yells at you to stop, just stop.”
Didn't watch it, not a word. I'm tired of being mocked and having my intelligence insulted by Reggie's bitch. His "confidence" doesn't border on arrogance, it runs screaming over that line into the realm of being ridiculous.
The economy isn't getting better, and offshore has never been more dangerous. The 80's called, they want their foreign policy back....I want it back, too. We were safer when the USSR was rattling its saber every day.

Yes, I have heard (and seen) all that I can tolerate from this monster. (Aside from the fact that if I tune in to Rush and Mark over the next couple of days, they will provide all of the "highlights!!")
At this point, watching a speech like that would only be from a purely academic perspective, looking to gain more insight into truly classic cases of Narcissism and Sociopathy. But since I gave up all hope of ever getting degree in Social Psychology long ago, there is no point to it!! lol
