It has been an important week with all the politicky things going on but some damn vital info needs to be brought to the forefront. Please read this carefully and make sure your friends and family are informed....
ZitatYou guys are equally as obsessed with Kate Middleton as I am, right? She's always so well put together but still maintains an air of normalcy, kind of like she's the valedictorian with great hair next door. This week was marked by a few pieces of news that need discussing.
First, a California college professor revealed the results of a study that suggests Kate isn't much of a fashion icon and has less influence than we'd all been assuming. (You know who does have massive amount of clout? Michelle Obama).
The question of "Does Kate Middleton have a stylist, and if so, who is she?" bubbled back up too, thanks to a story royal reporter extraordinaire Katie Nicholl posted on Vanity Fair. A 27-year-old Kensington Palace personal assistant named Natasha Archer is thought to be actively helping the Duchess with her dressing and making sure she doesn't pick anything that's aging. "Initially Kate was a reluctant fashion icon, but now she enjoys it. [Natasha] shops a lot for Kate online and calls in hundreds of dresses for Kate to try on. She's persuaded Kate to take some more risks. The hemlines are shorter and Kate's really pushing the boat out in the fashion stakes," a source told Nicholl. This Jenny Packham, for instance, is thought to be because of 'Tash.
Another fashion expert also had her Kate-say this week, with the Daily Mail reporting that color analyst Melissa Nicholson said certain colors would best be avoided by HRH. "It is quite obvious that Kate is a summer. I would say her best shades are French navy, air force blue, aubergine, plum, burgundy, soft berry, and gray. Spring colors are too bright and playful, winter colors too overpowering, and autumn colors are too heavy and boring. The color-matching theory is an old one (and one of the building blocks of create-your-own-dress company PIOL). Per the theory, wearing the proper colors for your complexion, hair, and eyes is essential for a really flattering look.
Have you been liking Kate's recent looks? I've been loving them!
