The director has had far more successes than failures, but even the greats make clunkers sometimes. Here’s one critic’s list of his biggest disappointments.
The Terminal Empire of the Sun Lincoln 1941 The Color Purple Armistad The Adventures of Tintin Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Poster's comment: Whew! Glad to see that Spielberg's breakout hit "Duel" from 1971 didn't make the list. Still one of my favorite Speilberg movies. An Academy Award performance by Dennis Weaver, for sure.
Hillary's 2016 campaign slogan: Elect Clinton in '16 - believe it or not, there's STILL some of the country that hasn't been "fundamentally changed".
"I haven't seen any of those movies except for the Indiana Jones one."
I haven't seen any of them, not even the one with Clinton pal and Obama supporter Harrison Ford (As Newsmeat reports from public records, Ford has overwhelmingly supported Democrats over the last 20 years — and gave over $30,000 to Barack Obama’s Victory Fund last September [2009]). Not have I seen "Duel."
There are certain people, even with their Leftist politics aside, whose name on any film (Spielberg and Meryl Streep come immediately to mind) tells me I am not about to get 2 hours of mindless entertainment; but rather two hours of some cinematic event. So I avoid their films.
