November 1, 2013 The Alinsky Republicans By Fisher Adams
. . . . And yet, there are establishment Republicans and their big-business donors who are apparently willing to see the 1st Amendment flushed down the drain in order to do... what? Keep the markets functioning normally? Keep their 401K's intact? Keep a diversified portfolio?
Is that what our party has become? There wasn't a soldier in the starving cold of Valley Forge, a Billy Yank at Seminary Ridge, nor a single Rough Rider at San Juan Hill who risked life and limb so that some millionaire centuries years hence could play golf at noon on a Wednesday, or install a car elevator in his home.
He fought so that he and his progeny would be able to live in freedom, in a country that recognized God as the highest source of power.
The fight between the Conservative base and its establishment overseers isn't about which side is more Conservative, and anyone who couches it that way is doing a tremendous disservice to how serious the fight we're in truly is. This fight is about the very same thing this country was fought for well over 200 years ago. And it was fought for, not so that we would have the highest GDP, or the lowest corporate taxes, or the highest per capita income. No sharecropper or shoemaker ever would have risked the sweat of his brow, much less the life-blood of himself and his family, for that.
No, people fought a war and launched a revolution to secure freedom.
They fought so they could live in a society where the government was restrained, because it ranked the power of God above its own. The freedoms of speech and worship, the right to bear arms, as well as the right to freely practice religion, all served as bulwarks for whenever government encroachment reared its ugly head.
The wealth that establishment Republicans and others have acquired under this system is the byproduct of this freedom. Not the purpose of it.
We as Conservatives are not willing to flush those hard-won freedoms down the drain for the sake of a diversified stock portfolio, or to land some big government contract. Our "party leadership" in Washington clearly is. That's the difference. That's what this fight is about.
Saul Alinsky once said, "I feel confident that I could persuade a millionaire on a Friday to subsidize a revolution for Saturday out of which he would make a huge profit on Sunday even though he was certain to be executed on Monday."
Does this not accurately describe the establishment Republicans? Boehner and McConnell would have gladly rubber-stamped ObamaCare -- almost immediately -- had it not been for Ted Cruz and his insurgent brethren in the House; knowing full well the ramifications that bill has for religious freedom and the power of the state. . . . . "
ZitatThe establishment Republicans -- who have shown a far more robust proclivity to attack Tea Party conservatives than attacking the socialist left...
A cowardly, Alinskyite tactic we have experienced firsthand.
Great article, anlgernon.

Yup . . .
No matter who you identify as the enemy within and without, here's my analysis:
Capitalism and free markets have been replaced by corporatism / crony capitalism / fascism (a from of big central government in which there is the pretense of private property however its use is limited by numerous taxes, fees, and regulations).
The enemy within has been very successful in creating a story for the ‘left’ about economic, social, and environmental ‘justice’ and a story for the ‘right’ about ‘free trade’, 'comparative advantage', 'compassion', and 'profits uber alles' with no reference to patriotism or morality. Both stories lead to the same place - destruction of the American economy, security, national sovereignty, traditional culture, values and its pesky middle class under the tyranny of global statism.
Corporations, in particular large international corporations, have benefited from cheap labor and off shoring at the expense of working middle class taxpayers. Said corporations have passed on part of the cost of their cheap labor in the form of increased taxes to support an expanding safety net, lower or stagnant salaries, dangers to our national security, decreased quality of life, and lower job opportunities. Cheap labor comes in the form of illegal aliens and guest workers who pay no or partial taxes, as well as legal immigrants. Not all illegals enter across the Rio Grand and do landscaping. An increasing number of illegals are visa overstays, e.g. high tech H-1B's.
As of a few years ago, illegal aliens, anchor babies and their extended families alone cost US tax payers net $1/4 - $1/3 trillion per year. Low wage legal immigrant cost net ~$20,000 per household; there are 4.5 million such households.
Our voting choices are severely limited by the elites of the Democratic and Republican parties who dole out $$ and support. RINOS have been enabled by 'holding our noses' and voting for whatever trash the RNC supports on the grounds it is the ‘lessor of two evils.
Our electoral process has also been compromised by electronic voting machines that can be hacked by college students. While it is illegal to vote if you are not a citizen, it is also illegal, highly un-PC, and racist to verify that only citizens vote.
As a back up plan more and more districts, including the DoD have outsourced counting votes to a company in Spain run by citizens of the world (Sytl).
Many of those hurting today did everything right, but are suffering from the financial shenanigans of TBTF financial institutions. Their 401K's, and retirement savings are not being bailed out. Their salaries are stagnant or have declined. Their job opportunities have evaporated.
Small business is being strangled by regulations written by congress using consultants supplied by large international corporate campaign donors. Large corporations are comfortable using regulations to squash competition from small business and start-ups.
The 'left' identify themselves progressives and put a D after their names; the 'right' identify themselves compassionate conservatives and put an R after their names. Both sides are comfortable suppressing free speech and using Alinsky tactics. The sad part is that those on the 'right' have been deluded into believing they repesent the cause of small government, individual responsibility, and freedom.
