Jimmy Carter Tells Islamic Conference: “Principles of Allah” Are Key to Peace

Former President Jimmy Carter told attendees at the Islamic Society of North America that “the principles of Allah” are the key to peace in the Middle East. Carter spoke to the group on Saturday.
I think everyone has it all wrong. Mr Peanut wasn't giving a speech. He was doing stand up.
Carter spoke mainly about preventing violence against women and girls, encouraging all present to fight for equal rights for both sexes.
“One thing that all men can do is to be sure that you treat your wife as you would like to be treated yourself,” Carter said, amid cheers. “My hope is all Christians, all Muslims, all people of other faiths, even those who don’t have one, will join in this crusade to end the plight of our wives, our sisters, our daughters.”
He spoke at length about prostitution, rape on college campuses, female genital mutilation and parents in some countries strangling their daughters because they want to have sons. The audience of men, women and children were rapt and responded with applause when he quoted verses from the Quran and the Bible illustrating the equality of the sexes.
“Men and women are created equally from one soul,” Carter said. “If you were taught by your parents or you believe you’re superior to your wife just because you’re a man, Allah says your wrong.”
Son-of-a-gun, the guy's a laugh riot. I had no idea he had it in him.
202 years ago this week, First Lady Dolly Madison saved the famous portrait of George Washington from the White House during the War of 1812. If it happened today, Obama would probably save his golf clubs!~~FB comment
I keep hearing all these supposed Christians like Carter and Bush and Obama telling me all about Islam. Its proponents tell me about Islam but what they're saying doesn't line up with what Mr. Peanut and his cadre of Christians apologists tell me about this peace key. What's Mr. Peanut smoking? Why isn't he telling the world about the beauty in Jesus' words? I thought he was a Christian and all? Now we have a better prophet in Mohammed, in his mind obviously, than the very Prince of Peace.

'Useful Idiot' is defined at the Urban Dictionary site. Their definition fits but it could use updating given the newer Islamic threat faced by the free world, one being ignored by the liberals of both parties, eager to show acceptance to an evil movement because of their greater interest in being seen as inclusive and tolerant.
Term invented in Soviet Russia to describe people who blindly supported the likes of Lenin and Stalin while they committed atrocity after atrocity.
Today, it refers to brainwashed liberals and leftists the world over (usually college students that aren't necessarily idiots, but just misinformed, naive, and ignorant of facts due to being indoctrinated with liberal/socialist propaganda through their public education) who believe that George W. Bush has committed more crimes against humanity than leftist darlings like Saddam Hussain, Yasser Arafat, and Osama Bin Laden, and still defend Communism, the cause of over 100 million deaths to this day. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.ph...=Useful%20idiot

I have always thought it was smart move on the part of leftists to label them selves 'progressive'. Who doesn't want progress ?
Another shrewd move was to appeal to those who want to see themselves as good people by equating charity with big government redistribution of wealth, and equating tolerance with moral equivalence.

Most of America doesn't understand or just doesn't care that the terms "Progressive" and "Progressivism" when used in a political sense are misnomers.
There is nothing gradual or progressive about Progressivism. Progressivism is a headlong sprint into the dark ages of Bolshevism where everyone is equal in their level of misery.
