Trump: Roy Moore Should Concede by Ian Hanchett15 Dec 20172,696
While speaking to reporters on Friday, President Trump stated Republican nominee Judge Roy Moore should concede defeat in the Alabama Senate election.
Trump answered a question on whether Moore should concede by saying, “I think he should. He tried. I want to support — always I want to support the person running. We need the seat. We’d like to have the seat. I think we’re doing very well on the tax. We’ll see what happens, but I think we’re doing very well. It’s something that’s going to be monumental. It will be the biggest tax decrease or tax cut in the history of our country. But as far as Roy Moore, yeah, it’s certainly — I would certainly say he should.”

If Jones still prevails he can say he suggested Moore concede and appear reasonable.
OTOH if fraud should be uncovered he can step up and demand an investigation.
And if the numbers tighten to 1/2% difference an automatic recount is triggered regardless.
Good observations. At times it is hard to remember that Trump has to work with denizens of the swamp in order to do some things in a constitutional manner.
