It seems the day the last of U.S combat troops, and combat support troops, were withdrawn from Viet Nam has been designated Viet Nam Veterans' Appreciation Day, or some such. Interesting choice of date, don't you think?
In any case, for all my fellow and sister 'Nam Vets on this forum, Thank you for your service, and Welcome Home. You labored largely without recognition, appreciation or thanks. But you did all, if not more, than was asked of you.

Thanks for posting.
So little recognition that I didn't realize there was an appreciation day for Vietnam Vets.
The New Jersey Vietnam Veterans' Memorial honors all those who served our country and state during the Vietnam War, especially the 1,563 New Jerseyans who did not return home. It is a powerful and fitting tribute to their sacrifice. The Memorial is open 24 hours, 7 days a week.
