Are there any greater hypocrites than those on the Left?
ZitatOne-third of the nine-man board at Harvey Weinstein's company have resigned in protest 24-hours after allegations of sexual harassment against the movie mogul threw the firm into chaos.
Scrambling into damage-limitation mode the Weinstein Company also launched an internal probe into the claims against their disgraced co-founder and confirmed the 65-year-old would take an indefinite leave of absence.
And following the incendiary claims from actress Ashley Judd, Rose McGowan has slammed the women of Hollywood for their deafening silence.
Demanding to know where the 'ladies of Hollywood' were on this issue, McGowan - who is believed to have been paid a $100,000 settlement by Weinstein after an incident in the mid-1990s - appeared to attack the mute A-listers.
Indeed, A-list actresses like Meryl Streep and Nicole Kidman and Gwyneth Paltrow who have used their fame to encourage and support women and who have worked with Weinstein have said nothing.
Those same three women have also been more than willing to supply writers and journalists with quotes praising Weinstein over the years and taking about how wonderful he is to work with as an actor.
Kidman's lack of comment is perhaps the most glaring of the three as she just came off an awards season push for her HBO show Big Little Lies in which she repeatedly spoke about the importance of empowering women and supporting victims of abuse.
They are not alone in their silence either, as many other women who have sang the praises of Weinstein while speaking out against harassment also went mute as of Friday afternoon, including: Kate Hudson, Julianne Moore, Cate Blanchett, Renee Zellweger, Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Penelope Cruz, Toni Collette, Minnie Driver and Uma Thurman.
I admit I do not know the political leanings of all these women, but they all do swim in the sea of political correctness. I do know Streep, Paltrow, and Moore are well known Democrat activists. Where are they now?

Well ...they are where they always have been. There's ALWAYS been a selective and partisan outrage by women on the Left! They know their place. Their uneven hand has turned any claim to represent "women's rights" into a whale of a joke They DON'T really celebrate "women's achievements" either! They celebrate only select women's achievements. The rest they trash shamelessly.TM

Hillary Clinton’s Director of Communications Jennifer Palmieri said Juanita Broaddrick’s allegation that President Bill Clinton sexually assaulted her was “addressed a long time ago” and that what is more important right now is that Donald Trump allegedly called former Miss Universe Alicia Machado “Miss Piggy.”
Breitbart News asked Palmieri if sexual assault victims have a right to be believed in the spin room after the second presidential debate in St. Louis, Missouri, as Broaddrick — among other sexual assault victims — sat in the audience during the debate.
Sure,” Palmieri responded, adding that Trump needs to answer for comments he made about women in 2005, and also “how he has treated women since then on this campaign.”
“So, does Juanita Broaddrick have a right to be believed?” Breitbart News questioned.
“So that, uh, she said there’s a lot tonight that’s not right,” Palmieri stated, suggesting Clinton denies Trump’s statements during the debate about several women who claim to have been sexual assaulted and intimidated by both Bill and Hillary Clinton.
“So Juanita Broaddrick should not be believed?” Breitbart News questioned again.
“That’s something that was addressed a long time ago. What’s at issue now is a week ago and again on the stage tonight he continued to attack Alicia Machado,” Palmieri responded, comparing an allegation of sexual assault to being called “Miss Piggy.”
Palmieri continued:
He continues to refuse to take ownership for what he said about women 11 years ago. He blames other people for it. He says that it’s locker room banter. He has in the course of this campaign — it’s not just limited to women — and that is why this is an issue in the campaign, a legitimate issue in the campaign.
“It’s because he continues to make divisive comments, not just about women, about Muslims, obviously calling Mexican immigrants rapists and criminals,” she added. “It’s what he’s built his campaign around and that’s why it’s an issue for us this campaign.” http://www.breitbart.com/2016-presidenti...o-at-issue-now/

snip Conservatives, who have spent years chafing when Hollywood celebrities moralized about social causes, had a field day over the Weinstein scandal. “Waiting on the professional ‘pro-women’ outrage machine...Sexual Harassment Accusations Against Harvey Weinstein,” Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway wrote Friday morning on Twitter.
Others jumped on the details of Weinstein’s alleged behavior as evidence that the entertainment industry has a double standard when it comes to sexual harassment.
“Hollywood stood by and did nothing and continued to award this person, work with him and glorify him,” Alex Marlow, editor in chief of Breitbart News, said in an interview. The scandal could further erode Hollywood’s credibility with middle America, Marlow said. “While he was allegedly preying on vulnerable people, the whole town that virtue-signals about women’s rights and female empowerment stood silent.”
The Republican Party sent email blasts to members and the media naming Democrats who have accepted money from Weinstein.
Democrats quickly tried to distance themselves. Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said he would donate $14,200 — the amount that Weinstein contributed to him — to charities supporting women. Sens. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), Cory Booker (D-N.J.), Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.), Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) and Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) confirmed that they will be donating money given to them by Weinstein to various charities. The amounts ranged from $2,700 to $7,800.
Some speculated the disclosures this week coincide with the weakening clout of Weinstein Co., which has delivered several box-office duds.
