Speaker John A. Boehner, R-Ohio, told Republicans Tuesday he could have an announcement within days on whether the House will file a lawsuit against President Barack Obama, challenging the executive actions that have become the keystone of the administration.
The lawsuit could set up a significant test of constitutional checks and balances, with the legislative branch suing the executive branch for ignoring its mandates, and the judiciary branch deciding the outcome.
Boehner told the House Republican Conference during a closed-door meeting Tuesday morning that he has been consulting with legal scholars and plans to unveil his next steps this week or next, according to sources in the room.
"It's inexcusable, and Americans are right to be angry about it, and I am angry about it. I will not tolerate this kind of behavior in any agency, but especially in the IRS, given the power that it has and the reach that it has into all of our lives. ... I'll do everything in my power to make sure nothing like this happens again by holding the responsible parties accountable. ..." -- President Barack Obama condemning "misconduct" at the Internal Revenue Service, May 15, 2013.
"After going out on a not-so-wobbly limb to suggest that Republicans would push to impeach President Obama if they succeeded in retaking the Senate, George Will’s Sunday column read like a real threat. Fed up with what he views as Obama’s “offenses against the separation of powers,” the conservative columnist advocated that Congress sue the executive branch to stop a lawless president. Yesterday, Speaker John Boehner told the House Republican caucus that he was contemplating such a step."

There is a feeling that the R's are to blame for Obama's failure.
"The plan all along has been to crash the Obama agenda and then climb on top of the wreckage and seize power. Not only are Republicans complicit in the “failures” they rail against, but they are also the reason the president has had to resort to executive action to get some things done. Even Will agrees Obama is within his authority to do this. He just doesn’t like the degree to which he has done it. Poor dear."
I don't see this as a fault. Isn't this EXACTLY what the Dems did to George W Bush?
Who "faulted" them? ANYONE???

"EXACTLY my thoughts!!! Years of ABUSE of POWER and maybe now he's fed up???"
It is odd. I was just watching Neil Cavuto address this very issue with Michelle Bachman on FoxNews, plus general Republican pusillanimity when it comes to Obama. I have only see Neil quite so agitated when he had to deal once with Liberal ideologue Julian Epstein. He asked the very type questions of Michelle I would have asked. When this confrontation appears on YouTube I will make sure it gets added here.

Neil gets quite exercised and expresses my very feelings.

Quote: Sanguine wrote in post #12I'm not sure I understand Cavuto's points. What does he want them to do? Other than not fiddle.
He was impatient with the situation and no good solutions. He seemed to take it out on her. He didn't let her talk, hardly at all.
He didn't want to see the R's drawn into a lengthy legal battle that would make them vulnerable to the antagonistic press and allow them to be painted as O's evil enemies.
The House only has certain options and I think he wanted to hear that she knew the end game of their efforts BEFORE she started a ball rolling just to do something.
