On Saturday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Up w/Steve Kornaki,” former Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele said there was push for outgoing-Majority Leader Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA) to head the Republican National Committee after he leaves office in January.
Steele pointed to the build-up of the 2016 presidential election cycle as a reason for the push behind Cantor.
“The ‘what’s next’ is always the big play in Washington – what do you do next,” Steele said. “And with the upcoming presidential election, there’s a lot of interest in Eric Cantor serving as national chairman of the RNC – Republican National Committee.”
“So, that will be interesting to see how that plays out,” he continued. “You know, that cycle is going to be so important across the board and Cantor's network and his ability to lead -- in fact, I think he'd be interesting because he started dialogues on poverty and some other issues that were sort of outside of what Republicans traditionally have talked about. So, he could bring a very interesting voice into that space.”

Nothing like choosing a recent loser to head the party. He has the free time after all. Sounds about right for the establishment R's.
Guys, don't learn from your bruising at the booth or anything. Stay that course, whatever you do!

We know that Washington has some serious problems when it comes to spending and debt.
Barack Obama and Democrats leading the Senate don’t like to pass budgets and they certainly don’t like to live within a budget.
Their reckless spending is hurting our economy and every American family.
In fact, according to a recent Gallup Poll, 74 percent of Americans believe our country is on the wrong track. This is the longest period in the history of the poll that a majority of Americans believe our country is off track.
But together, we can turn things around. We can fix America. We know we can.
At the heart of it all is a great American idea. And we know the best ideas don’t come from Washington—they come from you.
That’s why we’re launching our Fix America Challenge.
We want your best and brightest ideas on how you’d cut spending and reduce the debt.
And the individual with the best idea will have an opportunity to discuss his or her idea with the top policy leaders who can do something about it: Congressman Paul Ryan and Senator Rand Paul.
We’ll fly the winner and a guest to Washington, D.C., to have lunch with Congressman Paul Ryan, Senator Rand Paul and me.
Together, we can fix America. We just need you to share your best and brightest ideas on how you think we can.
Join our Fix America Challenge for a chance to win an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C.
Thanks,
Reince

You are aware that you are suggesting this to a party that is confused by the fact that one of their boys who spent $166K on steak dinners lost a Primary.
