The Freedom Foundation, an Olympia-based think and action tank, which tries to promote Conservative values in this sadly blue state of WA. I can personally attest it is a very effective organization and does excellent work.

JZ Knight is a purported psychic who claims she is able to “channel” the spirit of a 35,000-year-old warrior named Ramtha, operates the Ramtha School of Enlightenment from a sprawling compound in Yelm [WA]. Among her better known devotees were actresses Linda Evans, Shirley MacLaine, and Salma Hayek.

Those are the players and what is at issue is a suit by Knight seeking to suppress videos that show her making bizarre, bigoted statements she made some years ago. Among other charming things she has said are, the invasion of the Mexicans who just breed like rabbits, all gay men were once Catholic women.”, and F— you, you Catholics!” Knight bellows over cheers from her audience. “We will come on you in a terror,” Knight growls in another cut. “We will bring… St. Peter’s temple down and we will swallow it in the sea.” (“St. Peter’s temple” is a reference to the Catholic church itself.) In fairness to Ms Knight, it must be pointed out she is not the source of these comments; rather it is her spiritual guide Ramtha.

Ramtha's bigotry aside, JZ herself is a devout Progressive and has donated a great deal of money to (who else?) the Democrats. In 2012 her, I mean Ramtha's, comments forced the Dems to return 70 grand from her in contributions. This year the Dems are singing a different tune. J.Z. Knight, the Yelm-based spirit channeler with followers around the world, has given $65,000 to Thurston County Democrats for political activities this year, the largest of any donor County Democrat Party chairman Roger Erskine has stated, “We’re comfortable that is she is in fact a good Democrat and she supports our program. We’re thankful for the gift,’’ Erskine said. “We reported this quite a while ago (to the Public Disclosure Commission). We have not had a single inquiry.”

The Freedom Foundation has once again made an issue of Ramtha's bigotry by citing the videos of his comments on Mexicans, Catholics, etc.., and his "channel", Knight, is suing to have the videos suppressed. So now the matter is in court and the Democrats have pocketed the dough.

When the videos first surfaced two years ago, several political candidates and the Washington State Democratic Party were forced to repudiate Knight and give away contributions she had made to their campaigns.

One, Thurston County Commissioner Sandra Romero, described Knight’s videotaped statements as “vile, racist and divisive…. (T)hese hateful comments are the complete opposite of everything I stand for. I denounce them. I condemn them.”

Despite the still-simmering controversy, earlier this year the Thurston County Democratic Party, a group that supports Romero and over which she has considerable influence, voted unanimously to accept another $65,000 contribution from Knight.

Thurston Democrat County Chairman Roger Erskine later defended Knight as “a very good, strong Democrat.”

Romero, meanwhile, has reversed her earlier position, now saying of Knight, “I don’t believe she’s a bigot.”

Btw, did I happen to mention Knight gave $50,000 to the Obama Presidential campaign which has never been returned?

Judge Denies JZ Knight’s Request to Suppress Vulgar Videos

JZ Knight suffered a procedural setback on Wednesday when a Tacoma judge denied her motion to keep videos on which she makes racist statements under wraps until a larger copyright infringement lawsuit is resolved.

U.S. District Court Judge Benjamin Settle said Knight’s attorneys failed to show there was a substantial likelihood she would prevail on the merits of the case during the regular trial or that she would be irreparably harmed if the videos were not immediately suppressed.

“There isn’t sufficient evidence to persuade this court of either of those things,” he said.

The highlight of the hearing came when Settle ruled the videos could be played in the courtroom -- over the vehement objections of Knight's legal team.

JZ Knight, a 65-year-old former rodeo queen and cable TV saleswoman who heads the Ramtha School of Enlightenment (RSE) in Yelm, Washington, is suing ex-students Virginia Coverdale and David McCarthy for uploading live-streamed video from a 2011 Ramtha ’channeling’ that turned into a drunken bigoted diatribe, according to Susy Buchanan of the Southern Poverty Law Center.

“Fuck God’s chosen people! I think they have earned enough cash to have paid their way out of the goddamned gas chambers by now,” Knight told her students in the released video. Knight explained “I’m telling you this, every goddamn Mexican family is a Catholic—they’re breeding like fucking rabbits,” before adding that “all gay men were once Catholic women.”

Knight delivered her speech while students followed her in a drinking game, taking a drink of wine every time she did. Wine ceremonies have been a ritual at RSE since 1996, where students are taught to believe that wine grapes were brought to Earth by extraterrestrials 450,000 years ago.

JZ Knight, born Judith Darlene Hampton in 1946 in Roswell, New Mexico., encountered Ramtha the warrior in 1977 while experimenting with construction paper pyramids. According to her biography, she placed a pyramid on her head and Ramtha, a 7-foot-tall apparition of golden glitter clad in a purple robe, appeared in her kitchen.

“I am Ramtha the Enlightened One. I have come to help you over the ditch,” he told her.

Beginning in 1979, JZ (short for Judith Zebra, no periods needed) began channeling Ramtha at workshops and retreats called “Ramtha Dialogues.”"
