Megyn Kelly did a story tonight on James O’Keefe and his new documentary that comes out tomorrow, this time exposing the hypocrisy of Hollywood environmentalists Ed Begley, Jr and Mariel Hemingway who were willing to take money from a Mid-eastern oil tycoon to create a movie attacking fracking.

This is worse than it seems. Did you notice the meeting was held at the Polo Lounge in the Beverly Hills Hotel? I thought all good and decent people were boycotting the Beverly Hills Hotel because one of its owners is the Sultan of Brunei, a Muslim nation which recently imposed some draconian laws punishing homosexuality. And yet Ed "The Pure" Begley and the lovely Mariel Hemingway attended this meeting there.

Don't they care? Do they hate homosexuals? Also please note the fellow they were supposed to meet was presented as the son of a Middle Eastern oil magnate and his name was Mohammed! Could he be more Muslim himself?

There's more. What is Ed "The Pure" doing even meeting with a some guy who makes his bucks from fossil fuels? The shame.

Ms Hemingway, it ought be pointed out, doesn't deny anything reported about the meeting, only the methods used by O'Keefe. Boo hoo.

I am not sure the lack of an A-lister is really relevant to the film's purpose. Ed Begley, for instance, is a well known environmentalist who even did a TV show about his obsessive lifestyle. He's also a major player in the Hollywood community. Ed Begley Jr. is an outspoken environmental activist and current Governor on the board of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science (the organization that brings us the OSCARS every year.)

But even more than that was a couple who were also there but are not being mentioned in press reports, probably because the press' attitude is like yours. They aren't major celebrities, so who cares? However, who they are becomes important when you consider the bulk and purpose of their involvement. Josh Tickell [and his wife Rebecca] is a Sundance Film Festival Winner and the director of environmental message movies "Fuel", "The Big Fix" and "PUMP".

The video of the meeting, in fact, focuses on the Tickells as they are apparently the intended film's producers. Everyone who attended, however, that the source of the production money would not be revealed and the film is intended to hurt American oil companies in order to protect oil production in the Mideast.

"Muhammad" clearly states: "If Washington DC continues fracking, America will be energy efficient, and then they won't need my oil anymore."
In the same conversation, Begley and Hemingway accept the funding and agree to hide the source of funds for the anti-fracking movie. Hemingway agreeing that those who will know the source of the funding are "only at this table."
In a phone call to Tickell, the ad executive states: "My client's interest is to end American energy independence; your interest is to end fracking. And you guys understand that?"
Tickell's response: "Correct. Yes, super clear."
Tickell makes it clear on the tape that revealing the source of funding for an activist film can undermine its credibility. Tickell notes that the movie "Promised Land" undermined its own message because it was labeled as being funded by Image Nation Abu Dhabi. His advice: "So rather than putting that [the source of funding] up front, don't mention that."
In a follow-up call with Josh and Rebecca Tickell, Rebecca Tickell assures our investigator: "We would never tell about where the funding is coming from. That would be really awkward for us."

It is obvious, therefore, the expose goes beyond the celebrity power of who is in it and exposes the hypocrisy and dishonesty of some of the major players in the Hollywood environmental movement.

Earlier today news broke at the Hollywood Reporter that Hollywood filmmakers Ed Begley Jr. and Josh and Rebecca Tickell urged the FBI this week to investigate James O’Keefe’s undercover tactics.

This came after O’Keefe duped progressives Ed Begley Jr. and Mariel Hemmingway to get involved in an anti-fracking film that was funded by Middle Eastern oil interests and harmed America.

This afternoon O’Keefe released this response on to the news on Twitter:
“Bring it, fascists!”
