I must admit to a secret love for this channel. It gives me hours and hours of unadulterated entertainment.
MSNBC’s Andrea Michell openly wondered whether male officials in the United States were slow to respond to the kidnappings in Nigeria because it involved school girls Wednesday afternoon.
“It really calls into question whether the men in charge of our government frankly would have been responding more quickly despite Goodluck Jonathan, the president of Nigeria’s opposition, whether they would have been responding more rapidly if it had been schoolgirls, if it hadn’t been some other premise,” Mitchell said.
A surprised Sen. Diane Feinstein (D., Calif.) replied “you mean if it had involved school boys? No – ”
A flustered and stumbling Mitchell quickly attempted to clarify the premise of her question.
“Or some other military, I guess some other cause. Because it just seems that it took forever to mobilize the U.S. government even against the opposition of the Nigerian government,” she said.
“I’m not going to speculate on that,” Feinstein said.
Andrea Mitchell is definitely one of the foremost clowns in the hysterical universe of MSNBC. I wonder if it would do any good to remind her that prior to seizing the girls, Boko Haram had burned down several boys' schools, in one instance killing at least 40 boys, many by immolation; and no one in this administration has said a word, nor hashtagged anything about the dead boys.
Naw, I guess to her it doesn't matter.
We were asked for ID to get into a national park but it is racist to ask for voter ID?~~Comment on FB
Really? What about the 59 murdered boys who were incinerated? Any mention of them? By the government? By you? Ever? What's the matter? They don't fit on some snappy hash tag? Or is it because in the newly minted feminist oriented world we live in, they don't matter because they're only, well, males. I would tell you to stick your head where the Sun don't shine, Mitchell. But it's already there.
