Glenn Beck, the most vocal supporter of Ted Cruz in the conservative media, has said that he believes now he made the wrong choice.
Beck interviewed Ted Cruz, giving him a 17-minute grilling on his radio show, to which he kept asking what changed for the Texas Senator between his convention speech and his decision to endorse Donald Trump. All Ted Cruz could offer was that Trump suggested Mike Lee of Utah for the Supreme Court.
"For the for the very first time I heard Ted Cruz calculate, And when that happened, the whole thing fell apart for me. And it’s my fault. It’s my fault for believing men can actually be George Washington. It’s my fault…. The interview pissed me off. That was so calculated that it was stunning to me." said Beck.
Cruz, by way of his defense, has said that the choice is “a binary choice” between Trump and Clinton, and he can’t vote for her. So, he has decided to throw his support behind the man who implied his wife was ugly, speculated his father was involved in killing JFK, and mainstreamed a tabloid report painting Cruz as a serial philanderer. snip
It sure sounds like Glenn Beck is parroting this quote, 'I knew George Washington, George Washington was a friend of mine and Ted Cruz you are no George Washington.' Earth to Beck??? TM
"But Beck repeatedly asked Cruz why he changed his mind and decided to back Trump. "This is all the information you had in Cleveland," Beck said, unsatisfied by Cruz's answers. "What I was trying to do in Cleveland was lay out a path to uniting Republicans," Cruz said. "This is about principle, about ideas. That's the test I'm applying. What I do know is that Hillary Clinton fails that test profoundly." Beck ended his conservative radio program with an apology to his listeners for supporting Cruz, adding that he should have backed Marco Rubio instead." "That was so calculated that it was stunning to me," Beck said. "I think I have to apologize and say, maybe, perhaps, those of you who said Ted Cruz is calculating and a smarmy politician, I think I may have to slightly agree with you and apologize for saying, 'No, he wasn't.'" ***** Wow!!! TM
Beck needs to do four things: [1] Take his meds. [2] Go away. Far, far far away. [3] Shut his pie hole. Nobody's listening. [4] Pay some attention to his business. It's sinking faster than the LUSITANIA.
