ZitatDemocratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz is resigning after a wikileaks email dump showed her and other DNC aides exchanging catty messages about Bernie Sanders and brainstorming about how to sabotage the Vermont senator's campaign.
Wasserman Schultz's resignation comes just one day before the Democratic convention kicks off in Philadelphia. The Florida congresswoman said she will step down after the convention. Her role in the convention itself has also been significantly scaled back.
President Barack Obama said in a statement that he called Wasserman Schultz on Sunday and thanked her for "having my back."
"Her leadership of the DNC has meant that we had someone who brought Democrats together not just for my re-election campaign, but for accomplishing the shared goals we have had for our country," the statement said. "Her critical role in supporting our economic recovery, our fights for social and civil justice and providing health care for all Americans will be a hallmark of her tenure as Party Chair."
She should resign immediately, but in any case, I'm going to miss Debbie. She was, inadvertently, a great source of amusement during her tenure as DNC chair.
I wonder how this news will affect her reelection chances. Dem voters are not exactly known for any concerns about ethical or even criminal behavior among their own, still...
can anyone bring me up to date on what "wikileaks" is?
******* "Maybe God is trying to tell us something important- that now is not the time for a “nice Christian guy” or a “gentleman” or a typical Republican powder puff. Maybe now is the time for a natural born killer, a ruthless fighter, a warrior. Because right about now we need a miracle, or America is finished. Maybe the rules of gentleman don’t apply here. Maybe a gentleman and “all-around nice Christian” would lead us to slaughter." Wayne Allyn Root
I just heard on Greta's show that Hillary is already offering DWS a leadership spot on her campaign staff.
I couldn't find a story on that but that's what was claimed.

There is no indication this is fake or a joke, and as RedState says, "If that isn't a middle finger to the Bernie Sanders voters, I don't know what is."

Knowing the -D's, Debbie Schultz will be rewarded for taking the hit and moving attention away from Hillary's role
