BF's daughter is a RN in a pediatric oncology unit at a large and well-respected So Calif. hospital. A number of years ago they did a "Make A Wish" deal for the kids there, and one of the boys said he wanted Guy Fieri to come to his room and make him breakfast. This child was so sick about all he could do was watch television and he loved Guy's show.
He came without an entourage - no cameras - and wouldn't allow anyone in the room to take pictures either. Nurse said he was in there all morning, made the boy pancakes on a griddle they set up in the room, and had a long visit with him. She said when Fieri left his eyes were red.
Nobody can say anything bad about Guy Fieri to me. He gave the child some happy moments before he died a couple of weeks later. Maybe he is a jerk some of the time - maybe a lot of the time - but he had a chance to make a difference in someone's life and he took it.
