Pardon my language, but damn, damn, damn. In case you didn't know an unelected Human Rights Commission here in WA unilaterally imposed a rule that restrooms in the state had to be accessible to whoever identified themselves as male or female regardless of there true biological condition. The legislature had an opportunity to overrule this madness but failed to do so by one vote and that was due to 3 Republicans voting no on the override.
ZitatSB 6443, if passed, would have repealed the canceled the Human Rights Commission’s rule that mandates schools and businesses adopt policies that allow access to showers, locker rooms, and bathrooms on the basis of an individual’s claimed internal identity rather than their biological status

I am pleased to see my senator voted yes but once again enough Republicans betrayed what supposedly the Party stands for.
That's the money quote right there Cincy. We have been betrayed over and over by Republicans we have voted for.
I have voted for the most principled values oriented pro-life conservative Republican for 40 years now. In that 40 years whenever the GOP had control of both houses of Congress did Roe v Wade get overturned? No. Did we reign in government spending? No. Did we install true principles of limited government? No. The debt is bigger than ever and government is bigger than ever. Did we reign in Obama? No. They gave him a huge Christmas package in Dec giving him everything he wanted to continue to destroy our economy and nation. They gave him everything he wanted at every turn. At the release of the Planned Parenthood videos did they defund Planned Parenthood when they had the opportunity? No. Have they defunded ANYTHING they could defund controlling the House? No. Have they sealed the border and started enforcing the laws we already have? No. Did they repeal Obamacare as they promised? No. Did they even try? No. Have they put principled originalist conservatives on the Supreme Court? You could argue yes with Thomas and Scalia, but Roberts and Souter would get a resounding NO. I have watched all these "no" actions and watched all the excuses, "we just can't do that it wouldn't work bla bla bla" then in 2014 and beyond I suddenly became the enemy to the GOPe. They started coming after me and my values. Betrayed doesn't even begin to cover my feelings right about now. So I have to ask, "What in the world GOOD did it do to vote for the most principled conservative for the past 40 years?"
So my response is: I am now no longer a Republican. I am also not a Democrat. There is no party that represents me. So I am taxed without representation!
In all seriousness there no longer really is conservative vs liberal. Liberals for the most part have gone far left and are nothing more than marxist communists. Many on the right are not conservatives so much as they are neo-conservative, or pro-globalism, which isn't any better than the Marxists as far as our liberty and national sovereignty goes. Its getting much more difficult to weed out the wheat from the chaff so the old you have to vote for the most principled conservative doesn't move me as much as it used to. What's that old saying? "Doing the same old thing over and over expecting a different result is the definition of insanity?"
What I do know that I am is a values oriented voter with a belief in limited government and the originalist interpretation of the Constitution. So I guess you could say I am a conservative Constitutionalist first and foremost. I should change my handle from conservgramma to constitutiongramma.
