While mental disorders can cause some of the same symptoms as chronic medical conditions, it was was sheer arrogance on the part of the physician who called DCF not to consult with the physician who made the original diagnosis. Further arrogance on the part of the judge who issued the onerous gag order.

I have looked up the diagnosis of mitochondrial disease. It it looks to be a sophisticated process that involves extensive testing.
