If not put into context this video would make one think GW had it correct as opposed to Zero's handling of Iraq. IMHO the instabily in Iraq was create by GW's regime change under R2P.
GW went into Iraq under the UN R2P(Responsibility to Protect) principle. In other words the UN has taken it upon itself to determine that it can effect regime change if a country's government is not to its liking.
Saddam, Kadhafi were secular moslem strong men who kept order in their respective countries. Christians, Jews, and Yazhidis were way better off while Saddam and, Kadhafi they were still in power. The citizens of the ME were way better off.
As to Iraq, once again the kindest thing I can say is that the new regime demonstrates that the PTB continue a lack of understanding of the ME and an inability to learn from experience.
Why did we not go after the Saudis, after all that's where the 9-11 high jackers came from. Oh yes, that would end the petrodollar and force out government to reign in its spending.
[note; the petrodollar was the creation of Nixon and Kissenger in 1979 when Nixon was forced to close the foreign gold window because we were essentially broke. There wasn't enough gold to redeem all the foreign held dollars. The US and Saudi Arabia signed The U.S.- Saudi Arabian Joint Commission On Economic Cooperation. The US agreed to protect Saudi Arabia and the Saudis agreed to price oil in US dollars This created a false market for dollars, postponed the dollar's collapse, and allowed the PTB (in cooperation with the Fed) to keep on spending and spending. ]
btw, I'll be going to see The Donald tonight at the Worcester DCU event.
