“I have such great admiration and empathy for Hillary Clinton,” Fiorina says in the video. “I have great admiration for her because I know what it takes in some small measure to do what she has done. She is obviously incredibly intelligent, focused, tough, determined, empathetic of all the tens of millions of people that she was trying to represent in her quest to become the first woman president of the United States.”
“And as a woman, I take great pride in the fact that Hillary Clinton ran for president. And I also watched with a lot of empathy as I saw how she was scrutinized, characterized, talked about as a woman,” continued Fiorina. “While I think woman have made great progress in so many ways I also known from personal experience that women in positions of power – particularly bold women – who are trying to drive change as Hillary Clinton must surely is…bold women, women in power are characterized, scrutinized differently than their male counterparts are.”
That glowing praise is in line with a statement she made at another 2008 gathering, a press conference where she said Clinton had been subjected to sexism, albeit not by the Republican Party.
Fiorina said any woman in politics owes a debt of gratitude to Clinton. I have said numerous times, I disagree politically with Hillary, but I also have great admiration for Hillary Clinton,” declared Fiorina. “Her run for the presidency was historic. She was a great candidate. She has helped millions of women all over this country. Women of any political party owe a debt of gratitude to Hillary Clinton and I will bet that every woman up here agrees with me.”
"Well at least she didn't say that Hilliary Xlinton's hairdo was so yesterday."
Seriously though, while there's certainly enough in Carly Fiorina's background to merit scrutiny, I'm not sure this is. Let's look at the context of the times. It was either late 2007 or early 2008 and Xlinton had either dropped out or was about to. There was much "hurt" that could be capitalized on - particularly among Xlinton's low info women voters.
Carly was obviously campaining for McClown, and was saying nice things about Xlinton in what was likely an effort to attract some of these voters (in other words, politics as usual)
And this was before Clinton's failed and corrupt record as Sec'y of State - Benghazi etc. At this point, she only had a failed record as a NY Senator - so that's okay.
McCain-backed GOP Senate candidate Carly Fiorina hearts Jesse Jackson — and radical gender politics By Michelle Malkin • January 23, 2010 09:52 AM
As if California GOP Senate candidate Carly Fiorina’s massive bailout-supporting economic advice for John McCain wasn’t bad enough (reminder from yesterday’s column: “In California, McCain’s PAC supports former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina – a celebrity name with deep pockets of her own, massive media exposure, and a checkered business record. Fiorina served as the economic adviser to McCain, who supported the $700 billion TARP bailout, the $25 billion auto bailout, a $300 billion mortgage bailout, and the first $85 billion AIG bailout.”), now comes the revelation of that she has had a long political love affair with Jesse Jackson.
It’s on tape, via Neil Stevens of RedState: “When Carly Fiorina speaks on the campaign trail here in California, running to be the Republican nominee to unseat Barbara Boxer, she tries to prohibit recording of her speeches. However somebody snuck in an audio recorder to an event yesterday, and these clips seem to show why she would do that. The real, private Carly seems to be a bit different from the public, ‘conservative’ Carly.”
Listen for yourselves as she coos about “the Reverend Jesse Jackson” and panders to gender quota-mongers at a women’s conference held last week:
Philip Klein at the American Spectator has a partial transcript (and be sure to click the link for more instances of Fiorina slobbering over Jackson):
Zitat“And I thought about something that the Reverend Jesse Jackson said to me several years ago. He very graciously came to the offices of Hewlett Packard to visit me, because we were doing some work together for his Rainbow Coalition. And he said to me, ‘You know, Carly, every game is better when everybody gets to play.’ And I thought it was such a great way of describing why everything is better when all people, regardless of color or nationality or gender, get to play. Sports are better. Business is better. Politics are better. The world is better when everybody gets to play in things that matter.”
Fiorina continues to cast herself as a “mainstream conservative.” But what exactly is “mainstream” or “conservative” about heaping praise on one of this country’s greediest and unrepentant race hustlers?

I think I like her. Do I really know her? Not hardly. She's an excellent campaigner obviously as she has done some tactical wonders with her self-promotion.
Her two previous employment records indicates she is clever at selling herself but VERY WEAK on producing good results.
That's likely going to be her tragic story for America if she was chosen to lead us onward. The Presidency would be good for Carly but would we benefit?
That's my deep concern.
