"NEW YORK (AP) - Bruce Jenner made his debut as a transgender woman in a va-va-voom fashion in the July issue of Vanity Fair.
"Call me Caitlyn," declares a headline on the cover, with a photo of a long-haired Jenner in a strapless corset, legs crossed, sitting on a stool. The image was shot by famed celeb photographer Annie Leibovitz. Prior to the unveiling of Caitlyn, Jenner had said he prefers the pronoun "he," but Vanity Fair contributing editor Buzz Bissinger, who wrote the accompanying story, refers to "she."
Jenner debuted a new Twitter account as well with: "I'm so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn. Can't wait for you to get to know her/me." In about 45 minutes, the account had more than 180,000 followers.
According to the magazine, which took to Twitter with the cover Monday, Jenner spoke emotionally about her gender journey: "If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, 'You just blew your entire life.'"
Quote: ThirstyMan wrote in post #3Little does he know that his deathbed problems don't evaporate just because he decided he was the wrong sex. He still must face death. Duh!
But the elation of his sex change choice and the rush from all this world's attention givers will keep him preoccupied until then ...no doubt.
Well said.
And, yes, he does have a fantastic makeup/retoucher person!
It was 'downright creepy' this morning on Fox OTA news. Everyone's programming had been upgraded: Jenner being praised on high.
Liberals Worship Caitlyn Jenner as Transgender “Goddess” Cult-like adulation is downright creepy by Paul Joseph Watson | June 2, 2015
Many liberals reacted to the Vanity Fair cover featuring Bruce Jenner’s transition into Caitlyn Jenner by proclaiming Jenner to be a Goddess and ordering everyone to bow down and worship her.
I thought you might be joking: "Did you hear Estee Lauder is thinking of hiring him as a spokesman...er, woman...oh, whatever."
NYPOST: "Caitlyn Jenner is being courted by beauty brands to become a spokeswoman. MAC Cosmetics, which is owned by Estée Lauder, has already had “several high-level meetings over the past few months” with Jenner to discuss becoming a face of the colorful cosmetics line.
[snip] [the article I mean]
MAC has over 700 stores worldwide, and Jenner would follow in the footsteps of LGBT-friendly MAC representatives including RuPaul, Ricky Martin, Elton John and k.d. lang. Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj have also been spokesmodels. The line’s motto is “All ages, all races, all sexes.” MAC declined to comment.
Page Six ran into Estée Lauder group president John Demsey at the CFDA Awards Monday night at Lincoln Center, and he described Caitlyn’s Vanity Fair cover as “simply amazing, iconic, epic, disruptive, bold, glamorous,” adding, “There’s never been someone with that level of celebrity who’s ever done something so bold and so visible in public, and it’s done very elegantly and glamorously.” Demsey last year signed Kendall Jenner as the face of Estée Lauder."
Somewhere on the web, there's a bunch of old photos of dead people posed with their families for posterity. Someday, people will look at this photo with the same sick fascination and feeling of disgust mixed with curiosity and a tiny bit of sympathy that we look at those old photos with.
(I know, I shouldn't click on those clickbait links. I just couldn't help myself.)
