White House delays health insurance mandate for medium-sized employers until 2016 By Juliet Eilperin and Amy Goldstein, Monday, February 10, 4:15 PM
The Obama administration announced Monday it would give medium-sized employers an extra year, until 2016, before they must offer health insurance to their full-time workers.
Firms with at least 100 employees will have to start offering this coverage in 2015.
By offering an unexpected grace period to businesses with between 50 and 99 employees, administration officials are hoping to defuse another potential controversy involving the 2010 health-care law, which has become central to Republicans’ campaign to make political gains in this year’s midterm election.
Even the nation’s largest employers got a significant concession: They can avoid a fine by offering coverage to 70 percent of their full-time employees in 2015 and 95 percent starting in 2016. Under an earlier proposal, employers with at least 50 employees would have been required to offer insurance, beginning 2015, to 95 percent of those who work 30 hours or more a week, along with their dependents.
This mess of a law is continuing to resemble some sort of Rube Goldberg legal creation. In addition, Obama is only doing this to avoid any negative publicity caused by ObamaCare during the coming elections.
Moreover, where does Obama get the authority to alter constantly (at least 27 times) and unilaterally an existing law? And where are the hopeless and hapless Republicans when it comes to this? I know the hopelessly partisan Democrat Senate will block any move by the House to oppose him, but Boehner and Co could a least pass a measure condemning his actions. But, no, true to current Republican spinelessness the House does nothing.
In response to the latest move by the Obama administration RNC Chairman Reince Priebus released this mealymouthed statement.
“The Obama Administration is failing to deal with ObamaCare because it is simply bad law. After refusing to accept bipartisan changes to the law, the administration is unilaterally making it up as they go along. Whether you are an American worker, employer, a union member or healthcare provider, you’ve had enough. What’s the remedy? Elections matter. Democrats may try hiding from President Obama on the campaign trail, but when it comes to his signature accomplishment, ObamaCare, each Democrat Senator up for reelection this year helped make it a reality.”
So that’s it? The Obama administration continues to run roughshod over the the constitution and the GOP releases a weak statement. Where is the Opposition?

My friends, we do live in troubled times.
Unfortunately the House R's have set multiple precedents of conceding the 'power of the purse' .
They ought to have been shouting from the rooftops that they would fund the entire budget except anything relating to ObamaCare. There are plenty of tear jerker stories they could be citing, the CBO analysis of jobs lost, cancer patients loosing care, identity theft from the web site, money and medical taken from disabled veterans, etc.
