Zero and the Regime are going after retirement accounts now like many have said would happen....
ZitatWondering who will take over the mantle of Treasury bond buyer now that the Fed is stepping away? Curious of the government's next steps towards repression and control of wealth? Wait no longer. As the AP reports, President Obama will unveil a new retirement savings plan tonight that allows first-time savers to buy US Treasury bonds tax-deferred for retirement. Of course, this is not the mandatory IRA that remains somewhat inevitable (as the muddle-through fails) but is certainly a step in the direction we alerted readers to a year ago by which the government generously offers to help manage your retirement savings. Two words spring to mind... remember Poland.
BTW, Poland confiscated HALF of private pension funds last year to "avert a disaster" as they put it. Since our economy is on it's last legs, look for this new scheme to be the set up to do the same here for the same flimsy reasons.

There's a lot of that going around, Frank. Averting disaster at the people's expense.
What was the name they're going to call this b.s. scam? "MyRa"?
"You mean My Ra, sucka!"
Yep, just another way for the Reds to get their larcenist paws on your money.

Seems they haven't given up on simply printing more money yet. So far they've been able to sell it as sound policy. How long before the axe hits the chopping block? Someone recently said when the debt hits $20 trillion it's all over. That's only $3 trillion away.

It's already hit the fan. Just look at the mess in Turkey with their currency and other emerging markets circling the drain. This is all because the Fed went from $85 billion a month QE to $75 trillion. All this QE has not only been propping up the US. It has been propping up the whole world. This whole thing is starting to unwind fast and it is going to make '08 look like a mild recession.
Every time I see Obama's plan referred to as "MyRA" I cannot help but recall a perverted work written by another homo about the creation of a similar lusus naturae, Myra Breckenridge.
In a certain sense the two Myras truly resemble one another.
