I found this discussion of social scientists and technocracy interesting.

From my perspective technocrats area group of collectivists using algorithms based upon their supreme wisdom to regulate the lives of those they deem inferior (i.e. everyone else). At minimum the Wuhan Flu is being used to accelerate the monitoring of our every move and creation of a social credit system that contains penalties for the non-compliant. Fear and guilt, two powerful emotions, are being deployed by masters.
