This was the title of a book by Christopher Hitchens about Bill and Hillary Clinton. But we’re approaching the point where the phrase also applies to Marco Rubio.
Is there a conservative talk show host with whom Rubio has truly leveled about the Schumer-Rubio legislation? He lied to Mark Levin. He dissembled to Sean Hannity, most recently by claiming that he didn’t vote for certain amendments to improve border security because he knew that a “tougher” amendment (that of Sens. Corker and Hoeven) was coming down the pike.
(snip)
Oh well.
But there is someone left to whom Rubio has not lied — Chuck Schumer. It appears that Rubio has honored all of his commitments to the left-wing New York Senator.
Hey Rev! The new breed of conservative politician has new standards obviously. Used to be a conservative had to remain true to his convictions. Now it seems they're comfortable dumping us and morphing into some lukewarm version of themselves. I don't like it one bit. I'd prefer the Dems morphed, not us.TM

What we have here is a situation where people have started calling themselves Conservatives strictly to become electable. They are not nor have they ever been anything other than a RINO.
