A Vancouver, WA man facing charges for firing his shotgun into the air to scare off would-be intruders says he simply acted on Vice President Joe Biden's advice.
According to the AP, Jeffrey C. Barton says "he will not admit any wrongdoing for the [July] incident...because he was protecting his family, within his Second Amendment right, and following the advice of the vice president."
In February, Breitbart News reported Joe Biden's infamous advice in which he admitted instructing his wife to grab a shotgun and fire two rounds off their balcony to scare off would-be intruders when he's gone.
For good or for ill, Barton seized on this advice and plans to fashion his legal defense around it. He was in court on November 19 and will return on March 26 to face "a misdemeanor charge for illegally discharging a firearm."
