ZitatHere's my Facebook post announcing my candidacy:
At Seattle Sound Transit’s board meeting, I announced I’m running for Governor in 2020. Yes, that’s right, I am running against Jay Inslee, Seattle’s current Governor. Voters outside Seattle overwhelmingly passed $30 tabs but our votes didn’t count. Voters in Pierce county repudiated these taxes, Snohomish county voters repudiated these taxes. But Seattle didn’t. I’m so sick of Seattle making all decisions. I want to be the Governor for everyone who’s sick and tired of this crap.
For you non-Washingtonians (a word I just made up), Tim Eyman is a well known, and Liberal detested, anti-tax activist. He is a spark plug in getting initiative petitions on to our ballots which lower our tax burdens (which is why Liberals hate him). One of his best known efforts is to get our car tab fees limited to $30, and in this he has been quite successful, but somehow government officials have always been able to get around the limitations by adding new fees and requirements, to the point car tab fees in the Puget Sound area can be as high as $900.
In the last election, under Tim's leadership, we passed yet another initiative which will restore the $30 limit. It passed all over the state, except, of course, in Seattle, a city which is currently in the process of suing in order to set it aside (typical Leftist elitism). And now Tim is running for governor, so between him and President Trump the Liberals up here are going to be howling and wailing so loudly even you non-Washingtonians will be hearing it wherever you reside.
Yearly registration. When you register you receive a little "tab" which shows the current year. That tab is placed on your license plate next to another tab which indicates the month. Failure to be up to date can, and probably will, result in a ticket.
