ZitatKITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. - The Immigration Customs and Enforcement has confirmed that the man who fatally shot Kittitas County Sheriff's deputy Ryan Thompson was "unlawfully present in the United States."
In a statement from ICE representative Tanya J. Roman "Juan Manuel Flores Del Toro, a citizen of Mexico, was unlawfully present in the United States. He entered the U.S. on April 11, 2014 through a Laredo, Texas Land Port of Entry on a Temporary Agricultural Worker (H-2A) visa. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has no record of Flores Del Toro leaving the U.S., nor extending his visa after it expired.”
Deputy Ryan Thompson was killed on Tuesday night. Kittitas Police officer Benito Chavez who was shot in the leg and is at Harborview in Seattle.
Flores was then killed during a shootout with law enforcement in the city of Kittitas following a road rage incident that led to a police chase.
Since this was a local event and you may not know about it, here's the background:
ZitatKittitas County, WA - 03/19/2019 - On Tuesday, March 19, at approximately 7:37 p.m. the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a driving complaint in the Badger Pocket area of Kittitas County. At 7:42 p.m., deputies attempted to stop a vehicle related to the driving complaint. The suspect failed to stop, resulting in a pursuit into the City of Kittitas.
The vehicle came to a stop at the end of Pierce Street in Kittitas. The suspect exited the vehicle and exchanged gunfire with a Kittitas County Sheriff’s Deputy and a Kittitas Police Officer. The deputy received a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at Kittitas Valley Hospital.
The Kittitas Police Officer suffered a gunshot wound and has been airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The dead officer had 3 children. The wounded officer has one child on the way. Co-conspirators in this event who should also go on trial are those who advocate for unrestricted immigration.
How can the Democrats say they support border security when they also advocate for sanctuary cities?
Keep us posted on this story, a tragic shame! Sorrow for the family of the officer who was simply doing his job. Thanks Cincinnatus.

INSIDE EVERY LIBERAL IS A TOTALITARIAN SCREAMING TO GET OUT -- Frontpage mag
ZitatThere is a difference between immigrants and refugees who come here legally, and people who sneak into our country illegally. What Jay Inslee has declared is that Washington is a magnet destination for illegal immigrants, just as the Puget Sound has become a magnet for heroin addicts.
And now one of those illegal immigrants, who was getting safe haven because of our governor’s policies, has murdered one of our law enforcement officers. This cop killer got in the country legally, but why was he still here after his visa expired? Because we’re a sanctuary state.
And so I asked the question of whether or not Inslee planned to attend the deputy’s funeral. We’ve just gotten an answer from Inslee’s communications director.
"Governor Inslee and his wife, Trudi, made time to be there. But, when they spoke with Deputy Ryan Thompson’s family, the family said they preferred he not be there."
The governor’s office did not know why the Thompson family made this decision.
