Ohio State beats Oregon 42-20 in the first National Championship of the College Football Playoff era
A pretty convincing playoff run over Alabama & the Ducks. I guess that a lot of the "Big 10 teams are just too slow to compete" chorus will quiet down for a bit.
Early in the season Meyer felt that the team was a year away, I guess they made up ground fast. I believe that only 4 or 5 of the starters (both O & D) were Seniors, team filled with Freshman and Sophomores has a bright future ahead.
And who can't enjoy the Cardale Jones story??
A third string QB pressed into starting at the conference championship game, and the rest is history, what a 3 game run!!
Even nicer is that he is from small Glenville public high school in one of the most blighted and depressed areas of Cleveland, coached by Ted Ginn, Sr. What a story!!
