Yes, yes, I know. A trivial matter to be sure but O'Donnell is a Lesbian/Liberal icon, a quintessential example of the brand, and yet she can't get along with anyone, not even her fellow Liberals.
"She thought she’d be in the lead position, is disappointed
Rosie O’Donnell was brought back on The View in the hope that some controversy would help improve dwindling ratings, while also breathing life into the old format. The change was promising at first, but it soon turned out that the lack of chemistry between Rosie and the other co-hosts was a ratings killer.
Rosie O’Donnell was brought back on The View in the hope that some controversy would help improve dwindling ratings, while also breathing life into the old format. The change was promising at first, but it soon turned out that the lack of chemistry between Rosie and the other co-hosts was a ratings killer. Plus, Rosie is rude. She’s too rude to remain on The View, insiders reveal for TMZ: she’s mean to the other 3 women and she’s even meaner to the staff, to the point where her presence on set ruins the mood for everyone else.
She won’t be back for another season, the spies claim. In fact, she’ll be lucky if she gets to complete this one.
Ever since ABC confirmed that Rosie was coming back on The View and would join the only remaining co-host from the older format, Whoopi Goldberg, people started wondering about how this would affect the chemistry at the table, because it was a clear thing that Whoopi never really liked Rosie all that much.
Add to that the rumor that Rosie was actually being “groomed” as Barbara Walters’ replacement and thus would take over from her, over Whoopi, and you see why speculation about an upcoming feud was rampant.
According to this new report, Rosie too expected to be the biggest, toughest kid in the parking lot (of The View). She thought she was being brought back on to be made “the moderator,” aka the position now occupied by Whoopi, and she was “outraged” when she saw that this didn’t change as she had been led to believe.
Since then, since she realized that she would not get the lead position, Rosie “has been impossibly rude to members of the cast and crew, both on and off camera,” TMZ reports.
When she’s not mean, Rosie seems “very depressed” and out of sorts. She doesn’t interact with anyone unless she has to because there’s a camera rolling, and all attempts to get through to her have had no result.
Moreover, producers and network bosses are blaming her for the unimpressive ratings and she knows this too well. The way things are today, Rosie might not get to see the end of the current season, let alone be called back for another one."
Sadly her departure will ruin the mornings of several participants on here (we know who you are), but you cannot behave like a Liberal and not reap consequences.
