It's Time for Socialism: Let's Nationalize the Washington Post March 7, 2018 Daniel Greenfield
The Washington Post, a vanity paper owned by Jeff Bezos, one of the richest men in the world whose Amazon juggernaut dominates the capitalist landscape, has a deep thought.
Zitat Elizabeth Bruenig / Washington Post: It's time to give socialism a try
You know what, I'm convinced. I'm not even going to bother reading the article. That would just be sustaining the capitalist system by putting more money in the pockets of Jeff Bezos, Marty Baron and Elizabeth Bruenig.
I'm sold. (Sorry, was that too capitalistic a phrase?) We need to implement socialism right now. Let's nationalize the Washington Post.
As a major national informational resource, no sensible socialist government could allow the Washington Post to remain in the hands of a private tycoon. Nationalizing the Washington Post will free it from the need to earn a profit with garbage clickbait (like Bruenig's) and free it to truly serve the people. There will no doubt be some turnover as President Trump finds a new editor for the paper.
But it'll be for the best.
We can't go on letting individuals, rather than the government, decide what to do with individual property.
And while we're at it, we'll probably have to nationalize and socialize Amazon too. But i'm sure the government will run it much more efficiently than Jeff Bezos.
Wait? That's not what you guys wanted? So whose property are we going to seize and nationalize instead?
