President Donald Trump congratulated millions of his supporters on Twitter on Wednesday, the one-year anniversary of the 2016 presidential election, calling them "deplorables" as a dig at Hillary Clinton for using the term to classify half of his supporters.
His anniversary tweet included a photo of Trump and key members of his White House staff aboard Air Force One on his 13-day trip through Asia. Trump is seen smiling and giving a thumbs-up alongside White House Communications Director Hope Hicks, senior policy adviser Stephen Miller and his son-in-law Jared Kushner.
"Congratulations to all of the ‘DEPLORABLES' and the millions of people who gave us a MASSIVE (304-227) Electoral College landslide victory!" Trump tweeted, touting his electoral college victory over Clinton.
